Chapter 6: Connection

A few days had passed after Leanora's incident, she was back at work and y/n was back in class.

Lesso:
I knocked on y/n's door to wake her up.(I soon learned that she slept through most of her alarms.) when she didn't answer after a few attempts I used my finger glow to unlock her door. I could help but smile to myself at the sight in front of me. Y/n was laying sideways in her bed, with her legs falling off and her beautiful hair in her face. I walked up to her and waited until the right moment before I ripped her blanket off of her. She growled at the sudden loss of heat. "Y/n get up! Your going to be late for breakfast, I'm not leaving until I see feet on the floor." I proceed to gently drag her half awake form out of bed, leaving her to stand in the middle of the floor glaring at me. No matter what she still gave me that warm feeling in my gut as I looked at her. "I'll see you in class sunshine". I walked over to the good school and took my place next to Clarissa at the staff table.

Y/n:
I was trying hard to remember the very pleasant dream I was having before it was rudely interrupted. I threw on a pair of sweatpants and a black cropped shirt. I messily threw my hair up in a bun, and did basic makeup. I grumbled to myself as I made my way over to the good school. Jackie laughed as she saw me sit down and immediately reach for the coffee pot in the middle of the table. As I was waiting for caffeine to load I couldn't help but glance at Lady Lesso as she was talking to Professor Dovey. Ever since I had fallen asleep in her arms I wondered why she let me. I thought she was drop dead gorgeous, but I knew we would never be a thing.

The clock tower chimed marking the end of breakfast. Both students and staff headed to their respective classrooms. Lesso walked to her office, while Jackie and y/n went to hexes 101.

Lesso:
I didn't want to teach today. Uggg! I grabbed my cane and started to walk to my classroom. I had just started grading papers when I suddenly realized y/n was in my next class. I couldn't help but cringe as I thought about her seeing me in my emotional state. Never again. I finished grading the stack of essays and of course y/n got an A.  The bell rang, I straightened my overcoat and waited for my class to begin.

Y/n:
I waved goodbye to jackie and headed to Lady Lesso's class. As I was walking I saw a groups of girls near the door glaring at me. The leader of the group named Hester, looked at me right in my face and spit in it. I was shocked and confused about what just happened. What was that bitches problem-

Lesso:
I saw Y/n walk into class looking a little bit dazed and confused. I ignored it and began my lesson once everyone was present. "Today we're going to discover your power." I cringed at the few confused glances that I got. "Every Never is given a special gift or talent" I said with a sigh. "Your going to DAZZLE me with them today." "Hort!!" I threw my cane down on his desk starting him. He grunted and started to make some weird sounds as a single hair grew on his chest. This fucking idot. "The next time I need a skinny one haired werewolf I'll let you know NEXT!!" I walked over to Hester's desk and waited for her to show me her talent. She lowered the corner of her shirt and saw how her dragon tattoo on her shoulder suddenly came to life. The small dragon floated above her head awaiting her orders. I lightly clapped and looked around the room to see who was next. I noticed how y/n wasn't paying attention, and instead was drawing on the corner of her textbook. "Y/n if you think that your special talent is so amazing that you don't have to pay attention to others, then why don't you show us a little demonstration..." I grinned at her shocked expression as she slowly stood up. "Oh and another thing...your going to be against Hester."

Y/n:
Holy shit. I was so fucked when she said I had to go against Hester. "I'm sorry Lady Lesso, but I don't know what my talent is". She just shrugged and said "well you better figure it out fast." I looked at Hester who was slowly walking towards me, her face ready to kill. "Hester I'm sorry for whatever I did to you!!" I don't know why she seemed to hate me. All at once her dragon started coming right at me. I managed to dodge the first few attempts, however my foot got stuck under someone's bag on the floor. I yelled for her to stop, but it did nothing. All at once I started screaming as her dragon started to sit on top of me, burning and clawing at me. The pain and heat where just to much and I could thing straight as I blacked out.

Lesso:
"Hester stop!!" "Your not allowed to kill anyone until graduation!! Call it off!!" I could barely stop the desperation in my voice as I hurriedly walked towards y/n on the ground. Hester refused to call it off, so I kicked the dragon off of her with my good leg. Hard. I walked over to the dragon laying on the floor and proceeded to beat the living shot out of it. Hester and the dragons feelings where one in the same and I heard her begging me to stop. "EVERYONE GET OUT!!!" I briefly walked into the hall and grabbed one of the wolffish guards and ordered him to take Hester into the doom room. I would deal with her later.

Dovey:
I was just pouring my self a cup of tea in my office when I heard something bumping into my window. I opened it to find Lesso's pet bat with a note in its claws. I quickly opened the note and read it in my head.

𝐻𝑒𝓁𝓅 𝒾𝓉'𝓈 𝓎/𝓃, 𝓈𝒽𝑒'𝓈 𝒽𝓊𝓇𝓉 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝐼 𝓃𝑒𝑒𝒹 𝓉𝑜 𝒽𝑒𝓁𝓅 𝒽𝑒𝓇. 𝒴𝑜𝓊𝓇 𝒽𝑒𝒶𝓁𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝓂𝒶𝑔𝒾𝒸 𝒾𝓈 𝓈𝓉𝓇𝑜𝓃𝑔𝑒𝓇 𝓉𝒽𝒶𝓃 𝓂𝒾𝓃𝑒. 𝐻𝓊𝓇𝓇𝓎 𝓅𝓁𝑒𝒶𝓈𝑒!!!

I immediately raced over to the evil school. If Leo was going to use my last name it had to be bad.

Lesso:
I took a moment to write to Clarissa, before I went over to Y/n. I knelt down next to her and felt a few tears start falling onto her face. She had second degree burns all over her bare arms and chest. There where deep tallon marks on her legs and stomach. Her clothing was in shreds and I took off my coat and gently layed it over her. I gently picked her up and ignored the pain in my leg and carried her up to my room to wait for Clarissa. I layed her on the bed and held her hand. "I'm so sorry!" "This is all my fault, my darling girl" I started lightly sobbing into my hands.

Dovey:
I walked into Leo's room and gasped at the sight in front of me. I saw Leo sobbing into her arms over Y/n's body. Y/n was partly covered with Lesso's coat and I saw the burns and deep scratches along her face. I walked over to Leo and gently touched her shoulder. She looked up at me with tear stained eyes. "Please Claire!" "you have to help her..." she said with a soft voice. I promised I would and I lifted the coat off of y/n. "How-" I asked as I took in the sight in front of me. "I had the students show off there talents... and Hester would stop.." she was rambling now. "Leonora." I said with a strong voice. She wouldn't look me in the eye so I gently lifted her chin to look at me. "I will do everything in my power to help her. Ok?" She slightly nodded her head and limped out of the room into the hallway.

Lesso:
I left the room to give Clarissa more room to help y/n. I walked into the hall and leaned against the cold I stone wall and sunk down to the floor. I couldn't control my emotions now (not like I was controlling them before...) I completely blamed myself for what had happened and started banging my head against the stone. I started getting a migraine. Good I thought. You deserve this, you caused y/n pain.
