Chapter 15: impossible choice

Also this is exactly how I imagine Lesso's office to look like.

Dovey:
After I cast the spell to find lesso. Y/n and i fallowed the locket until it brought us to a very well known building. We stood face to face with the old schoolmaster tower in the center the bridge between the two schools. I took a deep breath and walked over the invisible stairs to the solid oak door. I looked at y/n and she nodded at me to open the door. I put all of the emotion and worry I felt about Leo being gone during the last few weeks into a spell. I focused my energy into a ball of fire and threw it at the door. The wood shattered with a deafening boom. We walked through the smoking hole of what was once the foyer and started up those dreaded stairs.

Y/n:
I fallowed Dovey up those stupid fucking stairs.(honestly it's a bloody magical world you'd think they have elevators) we reached the top after what felt like a century. We both shared a knowing look once we reached the top. "Clarissa...if something happens to me I want you to tell Nora that I love her so much and I just want her to be happy." She looked at me with sad eyes but nodded. "And if something happens to me I want you to tell Emma to look in the right side drawer or my dresser and tell Leo that I love her and I want you both to finally be happy." I smiled remembering what Clarissa told me was in that drawer. Whatever it takes right Nora?

Lesso:
I heard the sounds of smashing and yelling through the door. I gasped as I heard a voice I knew all to well. The cell door smashed open and I blinked furiously trying to adjust to the sudden amount of light. There standing in the doorway was y/n. She had a massive grin on her face and I saw my best friend standing right behind her. I felt the tears start to well up in my eyes. I had been alone for what felt like forever with only my rapist ex to keep me company. All of the pent up emotions that I had been stuffing down where now coming to the surface. She ran towards me and immediately wrapped me into a bone crushing hug. I visibly flinched, and right as she was about to pull away I reached out and grabbed onto her arm. "Please tell me your real" i whispered. "I'm more then real my love" she said as she gently took her hand and started stroking my cheek. I gently pulled her into a kiss savoring the fact that it had been so long since I felt love from another person.

Dovey:
We walked through the strangely empty tower until I found a door that led down a dark hallway. We cautiously walked down it until we reached a door at the end with deep scratches along the front and sides of it. We used a spell to open the door. Leo was sitting on a disgusting looking bed with one arm chained to the wall. In the corner I saw a bucket and literally nothing else. I saw the bruises and bags that covered her pale face. She had a haunted look in her eyes but visibly her entire mood shifted once she saw y/n and myself. After y/n and her had their moment together she finally looked at me. "Clarie?" She said softly. I nodded and smiled as I practically threw myself at her arms. She started sobbing again once she embraced me.

Y/n:
After a few minutes of all of us embracing Nora, I finally realized it had been to long. "We need to go now guys!!" They both nodded their heads and I walked over to help get ride of that stupid chain holding my love captive. Once we got the chain removed I had Nora hold onto my shoulder so she could support herself to walk. As soon as we crossed the threshold of the doorway Nora yelled out in pain and fell to her knees clutching her stomach. Dovey and I both immediately rushed to her side. "Rafal" she said barely above a whisper. "What?" Dovey asked confused. "M-my baby... he's connected to it" I looked at dovey and we both had the same worried expressions. "Let's try and get you out of here first and then we can deal with Rafal?" I said softly. She shook her head violently. "I'm not letting either of you anywhere near that bastard." I sighed deeply. "Truth be told my love, I wasn't asking. Where going to take you out of here right now" I said with a firm voice. I could tell Nora wanted to protest more, but her body was slowly shutting down and there was no possible way she could walk on her own.

No one's pov:
Y/n carefully picked up Lady Lesso from the ground and cradled her gently in her arms. Lesso was in so much pain she could barley talk let alone think straight. The only thought that was clearly coming into her brain was her child. Rafal was standing in the middle of the stairwell with a knife embedded in his lower abdomen. The spell he had cast connecting Lesso's child to him was taking place. With every second he stood there bleeding out was another second that Lesso's child was slowly losing its life. Rafals mental instability was clearly showing in that moment as he kept pushing the knife in deeper and deeper. It was only a matter of who would die first. Clarissa and y/n quickly made there way to the stairs only to see the psychotic man himself with a terrifying grin on his lips.

He grinned at them as he took the knife out of his stomach only to stab right back in on his left side. This action caused Lesso to scream out in agony. "Leonora you have two options here...be the good little wife you are and stay here with me and that monster of a child lives. Or go with them, let me die and I murder that fucking child right here and now. But it won't matter because you'll be happy right?? You'll always know that your the reason that your baby is dead. You'll go to hell and spend the rest of your eternity being haunted by this one single choice." At the end of his rant Rafal spit out the blood dripping from his mouth. "Times ticking Leonora" y/n glanced down at Lesso. She had silent tears dripping down her face. Lesso was faced with an impossible decision that wasn't fair for anyone to make.

Y/n:
I looked down at Nora's face to see what her choice was going to be. I didn't even notice then Clarissas hand was behind her back using the last of her magic to break the bond between Rafal and Nora's baby. "I-I'm sorry raven she whispered." "I can't live with myself if I kill it. I-i don't know what to do" she whispered the last part so only I could hear it. Once dovey finished breaking the bond she was completely exhausted and passed out due to the sheer force it took out of her. I gasped as I saw her crumble to a heap on the stairs. Rafal just smiled even more as he impaled his stomach again much harder then before. The scream that Nora let out was enough to break my heart. I placed Nora down on the floor near Dovey and slowly used my magic to produce a knife. While Rafal was momentarily distracted to plunge the knife back in, I gripped mine only tighter and plunged it into his heart. He gasped and stood there for a moment. He looked at Nora and used his final breath to say "I'll be back for you my wife." Before he fell back and cracked his skull on the concrete floor with a sickening thunk.
