There is something placed on my face,

holding, you hand it yourself, you feel into my very fabric, the very lace

that makes up myself.

I sit in a mirror, looking at you, looking at me.

I am you and you are me, but I don't want, I don't want to

be you. I don't want to smash a plate in your face. I want get away and put you in your place!

There is something to be said for a quiet room, a solid quiet room. It's called a jail cell,

and its where I woulda put ya if I had the guts. But I'm a fucking coward, and your a fucking shit.

I hear the creak of the door open and lock my room door. You are NOT going to take it out on me tonight.

I sit in a mirror, looking at you, looking at me.

I am you and you are me, but I don't want, I don't want to

be you. I don't want to smash a plate in your face. I want get away and put you in your place!

I sit in a mirror, looking at you, looking at me.

I am you and you are me, but I don't want, I don't want to

be you. I don't want to smash a plate in your face. I want get away and put you in your place!

But me and you, we are through. You hit me one last time in your drunken rage, at my age-

I can get out. And I did, Dad, I did.

We were filming the music video in an abandoned house. The house had huge windows and wasn't really decayed. Just old messed up furniture and peeling wallpaper. The first scene takes place in the kitchen where an entire cupboard of crushed plates stood under my boot clad feet. I was wearing black skinny jeans, a leather jacket (not real leather,) and a blood red tight shirt.

Scarlett was wearing a flowy skirt with a flower print on it, and a bra top made of black leather, and stilettos. We didn't get to pick our own outfits. The director, who I had never heard of, basically took our vague idea and ran with it.

We start filming on the first part, Scarlett is walking over the plates (which are everywhere,) as I sing and play guitar on the plates, and I smash the cabinet door off of the cabinet at the end, Scarlett is wearing a lace veil and singing backups.

We then flash to both of us in front of a broken out old style wooden stand up mirror. We each face each other as we sing the chorus, " I sit in a mirror, looking at you, looking at me.

I am you and you are me, but I don't want, I don't want to be you. I don't want to smash a plate in your face. I want get away and put you in your place!"

This part of the video is going to be in black and white, the director said. We're only singing and the instrumentals are looped over.

I stand in the old bedroom, and sit on the dusty old bed and sing the verse about the jail cell. I play my guitar for this one. We then repeat the mirror scene, only this time we are throwing paint at each other, which I don't understand but whatever. I think waring sides of the person, some shit he explained.

The last verse of the song, where I leave was me singing, no music behind me, with Scarlett following. Locking the door and throwing a match into what really was sand, but was shot to make it look like we burned down the house. We were covered in paint still, and the last thing you see is a shot of us in my actual '97 Dodge Neon, in regular clothes...singing the phrase, "I've burned all my bridges now." And that was a wrap on the video.

For the next couple weeks they arranged tour schedules for us. It was intense, 25 cities in 30 days. We were living in a bus, like the cheapest bus that was not a van. But since the album dropped record sales had actually been really good with all the hype they were giving it. It was rumored we might get the cover of Alternative Press. All this was good except it meant my Dad could find me. But our story about how we met captivated people, and I guess they liked the music.

Carrey and Brendon came and approached us as we were packing before the tour.

"We need you guys to be 100% on top things, and give it your best. We took a real chance on you guys and it's gotta pay off." Carrey cautioned us.

"Carrey, they seem like good, semi-responsible 18 year-olds. Lettem' have a little fun. And remember guys, they will serve you drunks cause you're in the band. Don't be afraid to get a little drunk. It's more fun that way." Brendon wrote down his number in case we were in trouble. Which I'm sure will be.

"Have fun guys!" and with that they led us to the bus.
