When I woke up on Saturday, it was sunny, but I could see clouds in the distance, which meant I had until the afternoon to take advantage of the sun, then it would probably rain again.
Of course, nothing was certain until I checked with the grandparents, who probably saw the weather forecast.
I opened my laptop and sat in my desk chair, before logging into Tumblr.
My 200 followers and more so, knew about Yeji, because I usually posted stupid things I did. But lately they've been asking more questions about us, which I thought was funny, since nothing was going to happen between me and her.
Never.
I answered a few questions about my private life and stuff, before my grandmother called me for breakfast.
I rolled my eyes and closed my laptop before getting up and heading to the closet. I wanted to go out today, and I remembered the text message from Giselle that I got yesterday, which was an invitation to meet her and everyone else, at some sort of picnic at God knows where.
I knew it was going to rain, so I made sure to grab a hat on the way downstairs.
Grandma was in the kitchen, drinking from her tea, while looking out the window, muttering something about a family having a fight in her garden.
"Hey grandpa, how's the weather going to be today?" I asked as I put a spoon full of cereal in my mouth.
"How the hell should I know? I'm not the damn weatherman!" He shouted from the living room and I rolled my eyes.
"Daehyun!" My grandmother exclaimed. "Be nicer to your granddaughter!"
There was a murmur and then shuffling feet.
"I hear it's going to rain later, but the girls can go out until lunch if they want to..."
Yuna shot me a knowing look and nodded her head, before winking at me and sticking out her tongue that had food particles on it.
I think what I ate was starting to go back down my throat.
I rolled my eyes and left the spoon on the table, I had actually lost my hunger, so I got up from the table.
"That's all you're going to eat?" My grandmother asked and I shrugged.
"Maybe later..."
She didn't fight me on that, so she just let me be. I seriously had to find a way to eat without Yuna being in the same room.
"So, we'll meet everyone at the central park for a picnic."
"How are we going to get there?" I asked. Actually I knew I could go by skateboard, but how would she go?
Maybe she could skate? I didn't know.
My question was answered when she pulled a skateboard out of the small closet in the hallway and I was surprised to see that today she was wearing sneakers.
My eyes scanned her tattoos, as she fixed her hair in the mirror, although her hair was probably going to be ruined while skating and she had less tattoos than Yeji, but even they were too many.
I wonder what grandma thought of it the first time she saw that, she probably had a heart attack.
Yuna grabbed a backpack, which she easily slung over her shoulder as she left the house, waving goodbye to Grandma and Grandpa, promising we'd be home by lunchtime.
I put on the end of my overalls as I watched Yuna cross the street and knock on Yeji's door.
I let my skateboard drop to the ground and put one foot on it, waiting for her to get her butt over here so we could leave.
