Avery's POVI had remained completely silent the whole ride home. Neither of us spoke to one another. The only sound came from the soft radio that he had playing. I knew neither of us were listening to it, it was just on to fill the void of silence.
I pulled my arms around me slightly tighter, hugging my body as I tried to focus on anything else but that.
I watched as the golden gates ahead of us opened up slowly, immediately responding to the presence of his car.
The mansion looked even more magnificent at night. The large windows were all filled with bright lights, the night sky twinkling above it like a perfectly, painted canvas. Each window stood so tall and wide, the curtains all remained wide open, showing the world a clear snippet of the luxury that lived inside.
Rather than stopping at the front where the large double doors were, we continued to drive past the fountain towards an underground garage on the far left of the building. He had his right hand on the steering wheel while his other hand reached over to grab a small black key card.
Upon scanning the key card, the garage doors rolled up heavily, its metalic sound sang as it greeted us.
I was right, they were loaded.
The entire garage seemed like a one level parking lot for millionares. Each parking spot was filled with a different type of black sports car. There was a lamborghini urus, wrapped completely matte black, beside that sat a black ferrari 458, a black GTR 35 and even a black matte wrapped R1 motobike.
I could tell what their favourite colour was.
My mouth flew open as I stared past all the cars we had just driven by. He must of heard my tiny gasp of shock because I could hear a deep chuckle coming from beside me. It was quiet amongst the car engine echoing in the garage, but I heard it.
"Thank you for driving me home." I spoke up softly as we pulled up into one of the empty car park spots.
He remained silent, his head only nodding slightly to acknowledge what I had just said.
Okay....
.................................................................................................
Since I still didn't know my way around the building, he had agreed to walk me back to my room.
Once again, we were both silent.
His large muscular frame was walking ahead of me, the gun he had used earlier sat in plain sight on the edge of his back pocket. Even through his dark dress shirt, I could make out the muscles tracing down his back. His shirt sleeve was now rolled up, his biceps practically bulging out because of it.
See why I keep describing him as a muscular God?
His forearm was inked with a dark tattoo of a gun, a long snake wrapped around it tightly with its tongue sticking out of its mouth. My eyes roamed to his other arm. It was inked from his shoulder to his elbow. I couldn't make out the image of it though, I could only make out a few lines that were peaking out from his under his rolled up sleeve.
Without realising we had arrived in front of my bedroom, and since I was so focused on observing the back of his physique, I ran straight into him.
"Ooft" I grunted as my face planted itself into his lower back.
Yes I said lower back, did I mention he was a giant?
"Sorry I zoned out" I Pushed myself away from him, my cheeks reddening at the embarrassing situation.
