Avery's POV
"I'll be there at noon." I watched as he paced back and forth around the plane, a phone in hand, "My men are ready when you are Stefano. No, that would not be discussed right now." He looked up from his conversation, his eyes falling onto mine. "No, I will discuss that with you upon our meeting. I have company."
Is it me? Am I company?
I giggled at the thought.
We were boarded on Vince's private jet, with a bunch of other men that I did not know of, other than Dante, Luca and Antonio. They were all seated with the other men, their heads down and their voices low as if they did not want me to hear their conversations.
I turned my attention away from the men, leaning my head against the window as I peered outside. There was nothing but clouds in the air, but still, I was mesmerised by the view.
"How are you holding up Piccolo?" Luca came and sat down on the seat in front of me. He handed me a glass of water, which I thanked him for. I was getting quite thirsty since I woke up from my nap earlier.
"I'm alright." I sipped the water and then smiled at him, "Actually I'm not alright, I'm so excited for Paris." He chuckled and shook his head.
"Out of all the years I've known Vince, I would have never thought he would do something like this." I tilted my head at him in confusion as Dante and Antonio made their way over, joining our conversation.
"I agree, it's unlike him to take someone on a....work trip" Dante sat down, a bag of chips in hand, while Antonio stood behind him, quiet as always.
"What sort of work trip is it anyways?" Dante coughed, choking on his chips whilst Luca spat out his water. "What do you guys do for work? No one quite told me yet."
"Um.." Luca looked over at Dante who only looked back at him with wide eyes.
"We're businessmen." Antonio finally spoke up, causing all of us to whip our heads over in his direction. He shrugged his shoulders at the men as if it were a simple answer.
"Really?" I leaned forward curiously, no longer interested in the clouds. "What sort of businessmen are you guys? Like do you have your own company? Or do you work for someone?"
"You sure have a lot of questions to ask Butterfly." Vince put his phone back into his suit pocket as he made his way over to us.
"Thank fuck." Luca jumped up from his seat immediately, "Ask away Avery, he has the answer to everything."
Dante chuckled as the blonde pulled him away and back to their seats, out of our view entirely. Vince sat down in front of me, his biceps bulging through the white suit shirt that he was wearing.
I watched as he rolled his sleeves up so that a part of his arm tattoo was showing. He really did look so handsome.
"I can see you drooling Butterfly," He smirked making me blush furiously as I realised I was looking too long. "Take a picture, it'll last longer."
"I- I wasn't looking." I sipped on my water to cool down my cheeks.
"I never said you were looking," He chuckled, "But that's nice to know."
I bit my lip and hid my face in my hands as he laughed. I could hear him moving closer towards me, his suit pants scrunching against the leather fabric of the aeroplane seat, as his rough hands wrapped around mine. He pulled them away gently and leaned forward from his seat so that his arms were resting just above his knees. At this point, we were just inches away from each other and I could feel his minty breath brush against my cheek as he spoke.
"Don't be embarrassed," His voice came out softly, "I like you staring at me like that."
"Like what?" I asked, the thought about what they do for work no longer in mind.
"Like you like me too."
My heart stopped, as I stared at him with wide eyes.
Too?
"Do you deny it, Butterfly?" He leaned even closer, making my heart race back up immediately. At this point, it was practically jumping out of my chest.
"I-" I let out a short gasp of air, as his hand grabbed onto my face ever so gently, his fingers resting against my chin, pulling me closer to his lips.
"If you say no, I'll take a step back and we can carry on how we were before." His lips brushed against the bottom of my jaw, causing my mouth to fall slightly ajar as I sucked in a breath, "But if you tell me that there are feelings there," they rested against the corner of mine as his thumb stroked over my cheek, "then I'm going to kiss you."
I could no longer hear anyone else or anything else on the plane. I could only hear his words ringing throughout my ear, and the sound of my heart beating faster than ever.
"Just say the word Butterfly." His brown eyes pierced into mine, as he pulled away so that he could take in my reaction.
"I-"
Do I like him?
This was all so sudden.
But at the same time, all the moments that we had spent together, all the little jokes, the flirting, everything we had done.
It just felt... right.
"I do." His lips formed into a small smile, as he leaned forward again, closing the distance between us once more.
"You what, Butterfly? Say the whole thing for me." His deep voice sent shivers down my spine as I took in another short breath, a shy smile forming on my own face.
"I like you too Vincenzo." My cheeks were bright red now, I could feel them burning against my skin as he smiled at me. He lifted me up from my seat and placed me on his lap, causing me to let out a little squeal out of shock.
He wrapped an arm around my waist, letting his hand rest against it as he pulled me in closer towards him. His other hand rested against my cheek, his thumb tracing gentle patterns across it while his fingers cradled the back of my neck.
"Say it again." He looked at me, his eyes piercing through mine.
"I- I like you too Vince." This time, he brought me in closer, his hand tightening around the back of my neck as he leaned in. His lips finally met with mine, and I couldn't help but close my eyes as the world around us fell completely silent.
His soft lips moved slowly against mine, each movement deliberate and tender. He took full control of the kiss, to which I was grateful for. I followed his pace and mimicked his movements, letting my lips dance with his. When he finally pulled away, I found myself leaning forward for more, earning a smirk on his chiselled face.
We looked at each other for a few moments before I clasped my hand against my mouth, hiding my wide grin from him.
"What?" He chuckled, pulling my hands away once more.
"That was my first kiss." I beamed up at him, my cheeks still flushed at the thought.
His eyes looked at me in surprise, "You never had a kiss before?''
"No, it sounds stupid but I've always thought the first kiss should be somewhat magical." He looked at me, adoration glossed over his eyes, "I wanted it to be special."
"You've been saving your first kiss," His hand reached up to brush out my hair, ''And you let me have it?"
"It felt right." I grinned.
