"Answers..." the man repeats. "We'll, I'll give you your first answer!" He turns his back to you and Katsuki and raises his hand to the wall behind the women and man in glasses.
Two other men open the wall to reveal a mural of playing cards. Most of them were crossed out. You and Katsuki look at each other. Katsuki's eyes were wide.
"These cards are your way out of this hell-hole. To win this game, you must collect all of the cards."
Collect all of the cards, you thought.
"So when we collect all of the cards, we can return to our normal world." you stated loudly.
"If we collect-" Katsuki started.
"When we collect." You glared at Katsuki and put emphasis on the word 'when.' Katsuki just looked at you as you returned your focus on the man with sunglasses.
The man chuckled softly as he turned to face the both of you.
"Sadly, only one person will return to the normal world."
Katsuki's eyes widened again. "Just one?"
"Ah, but one person simply cannot clear all of the games by themselves and collect fifty-two cards. That's suicide," the man stated, turning his back to you once again.
"That's why we are all here. So we can allow one person to leave."
He turns to face you yet again.
Does he ever get dizzy from turning so damn much? You thought.
He looks at Katsuki. "You have a card that we don't have."
You look at Katsuki and then at the mural.
"Three of Spades." you realized.
You saw the man walking up to Katsuki but he addresses the both of you.
"Let's play games together. We can all collect these cards, together."
"What if we say no?" you asked with an irritated tone.
"No? Well, you can't say no! Your visas will expire soon."
The man sits right in front of you two. "Looks like you have to join us then, yeah?"
"And if we join, we'll end this nightmare?" you scoffed.
He gets up and starts walking around the room. "Well, I can't give a certain answer. But it could be possible. Everyone standing before you have entered this game long ago. They too have been searching for the answers you two desire."
"So together, we built this small organization." The woman with the long black hair smiled. Still creepy. You thought.
"We have firearms. They came from the living and the dead." the man started. "Though, only a few of us are allowed to use them."
You look to Katsuki who's focused on the man.
"Here at this paradise, the Beach, we only have three rules." the man stood up.
"Rule one. Always where a swimsuit no matter where you go. You can't conceal a weapon in one, therefore it's safe."
You could feel Katsuki look at you. You side-eye him. You know what he's thinking.
"Rule two. Enjoy your life here however you like. You are free to drink, get high, and have sex as much as you please." The man smirked at the both of you. "I'm sure you two lovebirds wouldn't have a problem with that last one."
You felt your cheeks get hot. "Oh...no, we're not-" you look over to Katsuki and see his red face. You couldn't help but smile a little.
The man's smirk slowly faded. "Rule three. Death to all traitors."
