You and Chishiya head down the hallways of the resort. Once you guys are outside, you see a whole lot of people hanging around. Drinking, smoking, doing drugs, just like Hatter said. It was nighttime but there were plenty of party lights to light your way.

Chishiya brought you over to the pool. You two took a seat on some pool chairs.

"So, what should we talk about?" You asked after getting comfortable. Chishiya was laying on his pool chair with his hands in his pockets. He watches the people in the pool.

"Do you think you're ready for our game?" He said blatantly. You looked to him.

"I'll be fine. I've twisted my ankle before. It hasn't stopped me from doing what I had to do."

Chishiya looks at you. He takes a deep breath and sighs. "Have you ever played a volleyball game with an injury like that?"

"Well, no... but I've practiced with it."

Chishiya hums. "Why do you want to survive the games? What's your purpose, y/n? Genuinely curious."

"I need to see my little brother again. He's the only person I've got in my life and it hurts that I can't see him." You look to the pool.

"What about Katsuki?" Chishiya questions you. You look back to him.

"He left when we entered high school. I pushed him away when I should've just told him my feelings. He was my best friend and I threw it all away after he told me how he felt about me. It's not his fault at all. It's all mine."

Chishiya looks back to the pool. "When he came back to Tokyo, he seemed to be a different person. He wasn't sure of himself and he would keep to himself. Then, he got a girlfriend. He tried being the same person he was, but she cheated on him. Katsuki was heartbroken. He swore he'd never love again."

Your eyes slowly start to tear up. Hearing Chishiya say those words stung your heart a little bit.

"I never wanted to break his heart. I was scared to love because..." you paused as a tear fell down your cheek. "...because my mother didn't love me. Papa's away at the hospital all of the time. So yeah, all I have is b/n, my brother."

Chishiya didn't say a word. After a long pause, he finally spoke up.

"Well, I'm not the one who should be hearing you say that. You didn't break my heart. I'm not Katsuki."

You just sit there, staring at the pool. He was right, you needed to tell Katsuki that, not Chishiya.

Chishiya speaks again. "By the way, I know your mother didn't really leave you after b/n was born. And those scars and bruises you had in school didn't come from playing volleyball."

You quickly looked to him, snapping you out of your gaze. "What the hell are you talking about, Chishiya? I'm telling the truth." There was a hint of irritation in your voice. Chishiya chuckled softly.

"Who are you trying to convince? Me or yourself?"

You glared at Chishiya. "You know what Chishiya? I think you've helped me enough tonight. I'm going to my room now. See you later."

You started to get to when a man walks up to you. You instantly know who it is and your stomach started turning.

"Heard you were going to your room, alone." The man smirks at you.

"Jesus Christ, Niragi. Were you spying on me? Leave me alone." You rolled your eyes at him.

"You know I meant every word I said about having some fun with you." He got closer to you.

"You're so fucking sick dude. I said leave me alone."

"No. I don't think I will." Niragi grabs your arm.

"I'd leave her alone if I were you." Chishiya stands up.

You pull your arm away from Niragi as he turns to face Chishiya.

"Why the hell do you have to always ruin my fun?" He snarled.

"It's not fun and I think you should leave." Chishiya said nonchalantly.

Niragi scoffs at Chishiya. "Or what?" He got closer to him.

"I'll kill you." Chishiya responded, showing no emotion as usual. Niragi squints his eyes at him.

"I'd like to see you try." Chishiya could feel his hot breath on his face. He takes a step back. "It will be easier than you think."

Chishiya's hands were in his pocket but you noticed he's fiddling around with something. He caught you looking at his pockets and took his hands out.

"I'll take you to your room, y/n." Chishiya says as he was looking at Niragi.

Niragi looks at you and licks his lips. I'll get you soon. And I'll show you what you're missing out on."

Niragi looks back to Chishiya as he's walking away. Chishiya turns his gaze to you and held out his hand.

"I'll help you get up." You look at Chishiya then take his hand. "Thank you." You said softly.

He leans you up against him so you can walk. Your ankle really was feeling better.

"My ankle feels better. I think I can prepare tomorrow for our game." You pause for a moment. "Do you know what game we'll be playing?"

"No clue." Chishiya responds.

Once you guys got to your room, Chishiya sets you down on the bed. He pulls a chair up and sits in front of you. He places your hurt ankle on his thigh and examines it. You just look at him.

"What are you doing?" You question him.

Chishiya slowly removes your bandage. He grazes his fingertips over your ankle ever so gentle.

"I'm making sure your ankle is in good enough condition to play our game." He says while still looking at your ankle.

"Why did you stop Niragi from taking me?" You suddenly ask.

Chishiya pauses for a moment. "Niragi is an asshole and Katsuki would go crazy if he knew what he would do to you."

"Yeah but threaten to kill him? Don't you think that's a bit much?"

Chishiya looks at you and places your ankle down. "You don't know Niragi."

Your eyes follow Chishiya as he stands up. He sighs.

"You shouldn't hang around Niragi. He disrespects women and although you may deserve it, I— Katsuki doesn't like to see you get disrespected."

"You stuttered there." You said.

Chishiya side-eyes you. "Did I?"

"Also, fuck you. No woman deserves to be disrespected." You furrow your eyebrows at him. He chuckles softly and places his hands back in his pockets.

"Ann and Katsuki should be back soon. Get some rest so we can train tomorrow." He turns and starts walking to your door. "I mean it. Stay away from Niragi." He says to you, his back facing you but looking over his shoulder.

You watch Chishiya leave your room.

I wonder why he's so worried about me with Niragi.

You lay down and get comfortable before reaching over to turn out your light. You snuggle into your pillow and drift off to sleep.
