Chapter One: The hot head

'Dong! Dong! Dong! Dong!' a familiarly annoying sound woke you up from your deep slumber.

Sensei Wu, aka your father, walked into your room banging on a gong. ' Wake up Y/N!'

' Ugh, Fatherrrrrr!' you groaned, ' Why do you like waking me up from my sleep using a loud gong so much!'

Father chuckled seeing my annoyance, ' We need to go find a potential ninja, the spirit smoke gave me a vision. We have to go now!'

' Just admit you like seeing me annoyed.' I muttered while stretching my arms letting out a yawn.

' Come on there's no time to lose.' he rushed me.

'Wait, today's a Saturday, we need to go visit Lloyd. I promised him to visit him every Saturday!' you said in realization as your sleepiness faded. You closed your eyes as you remembered the first time you met your cousin.

'Remind me why do we need to visit Darkley's again?' I said annoyed as father and I rode his dragon Yang on our way to Darkley's Boarding School for Bad Boys.

' It's parent's day at Darkley's. And because Lloyd's parents isn't around, I need to go there to visit Lloyd and and check how he's been doing with his studies instead of them.' He said sadly but quickly hid the sadness with a smile, ' You've never seen him before, while I go talk to the teachers, you can meet him and talk to him.'

' Why do you make it sound like a good thing?' i whined, ' His father is the dark lord ( Voldemort!!!!!!!), the bringer of evil, Lord Garmadon ( oh it's not voldy. awww). What if he's evil too? Why didn't you just leave me at home like the last nine years.'

'Now now Y/N, never judge a person by their backstories. Just try and be friend him, he might surprise you .' he encouraged.

We have arrived at Darkly's and honestly, it was the worst school I have ever seen. Students running around hitting each other, shooting water everywhere, throwing rocks at birds, and the worst thing was, their parents and teachers didn't even try to stop them!

We walked in the school and some rude teacher took us to the staff room where Lloyd was sitting outside.

' Kids aren't allowed in here so do you have any thing to say to him?' he said to father pointing to Lloyd, then walked into the room.

' How has Darkley's been?' father asked simply.

' It's none of your business.' Lloyd said harshly.

Wow, Lloyd is rude. Was the first thing that came to my mind. I thought my father would try to start another conversation but he just noded, walked inside the staff room and closed the door.

What! Why would my father do that, he's the only visit Lloyd have and he just left him here! I felt pity for Lloyd. Is that what he's going through for the last 9 years? Ignored by the only visitor he gets, always alone... I think I will need to talk some sense into father later.

I felt Lloyd staring at me, so I snapped myself out of my thoughts and stared back at him.

Nobody said anything and the silence was starting to get too loud ( intended pun🤪) so I broke it,' Hi, I am your cousin, Y/N, Y/N Wu. Nice to meet you.' I extended my hand for him to shake but he ignored it and continued staring at me.

' So... How has your life at Darkley's been?' I mentally face palmed myself for asking the same question my dad asked minutes ago.

'Why do everyone wants to know! I'm fine!' Lloyd blurted out then stared at the floor and I stood still shocked.
