After you went home that day, your father went completely bonkers on the ninjas after he found out what happened to you. He was literally chasing the ninjas around the monastery until you stepped in between them and separated them.
After your father calmed down, you explained to him what happened in the village and what Lloyd had done. And he decided that the punishment for the ninjas (even though they had literally done nothing wrong) will be to search for Lloyd and the serpentine nonstop for a whole day. While you on the other hand, just chilled and watched Netflix in your room all day.
Now, a few days had passed and your injury had healed up completely. You just had a slight bruise on your stomach. The ninjas were now training and you were on your balcony, tinkering with your mechanics once again.
You bit your lip as you were trying hard to focus but with the silly shouts from the ninjas like, 'Monkey paw to the head!' or 'Dragon punch!', was seriously distracting you.
Just when you've had enough, a few loud groans and yells were heard and you blew a fuse, 'What is wrong with you people?! Training doesn't require all that yelling and shouting!' You yelled with your eyes closed, making everyone silent.
You then took in a deep breath and opened your eyes only to find Zane spinning around the yard, freezing everything he passed by and eventually the whole training arena. Your eyes widened at this and immediately went down to the yard.
'You're amazing Zane!' You gasped as you opened the doors with your father behind you and ran towards Zane. 'I haven't seen elemental powers this powerful from anyone except father before!' He returned the smile and muttered a quiet thank you before turning towards the training equipment again.
'Sensei, Zane's... weird.' You heard Kai say behind you as the ninjas grouped together with your father.
'He's not.' You scoffed and turned towards them, 'Just because someone's different from you doesn't mean they're weird.' You put your hands on your hips and glared at him.
'No, Y/N. He really is weird.' Cole shook his head, making you huff.
'Look, we like the guy. He's really smart. He's just... a little off sometimes.' Kai sighed and frowned.
'Really?' You raised a brow, 'If that's true then you guys are off all the time.'
'Hey!' Jay complained and was about to fire something back before Wu cut him off, 'Zane is a brother and brothers are often different.' He said as he put a hand on Kai's shoulder before lowering his gaze to he floor and mutter quietly, 'I should know...'
Just then, the door bell rung signalling it was the mail man making the ninjas run excitedly to the gates. As they all received their mail, you noticed how Zane was looking a little down and lowered his gaze onto the ground.
'Hey, you okay?' You asked gently and put a hand on his arm, giving him a small smile. He just sighed and nodded slightly before returning the smile.
'Hey Zane. How come you never hear anything from your parents?' Jay suddenly asked making your eyes widen. How could he ask such a insensitive question?! You turned around and threw a deadly glare at him making him shut up immediately.
'I don't remember my parents.' Zane said and gave a sad smile, 'I've been a orphan all my life.'
'You mean you've never had a home?' Kai asked again making you scoff in disbelief and glare at him. 'Really Kai?!'
Zane just shook his head slightly before walking away with a frown. 'Look what you've done!' You yelled once Zane was out of sight, 'How can you guys be so insensitive?! He's clearly sad about this and you just had to ask him these type of questions?' You huffed and stormed passed them and went to find Zane.
