"What now?", he asked.

"I have an idea, get in the car."

"Why?"

"Just do it."

"I don't trust you but fine."

I drove about 40 minutes, outside the city on a country road, I stopped on a small parking lot next to the road. He looked around, trying to figure out where we are.

"Where the hell are we?"

You don't recognize it?"

"No.", I heard his voice was shaking.

"Get out maybe that helps."

"I doubt that."

"Little liar, you know where we are, the road wasn't rebuilt."

"Fine you got me. But why are we here?"

"To finally get you peace."

"What?"

"Say goodbye. I got some flowers in the back. If you want?", he just nodded and got out, he walked a bit before turning around.

"I can't do this!"

"You can.", I grabbed his arm to stop him. You will never find peace if you don't.

"Okay.", he grabbed my hand and walked to an empty field of grass, a few metres lower than the road. He let go of my hand and kneeled, placing the flowers on the soft green grass. I walked back a few steps to give him some privacy.

"Hey.it's been a while.", he started.

"I would've come earlier but it was too much, I didn't mean to forget you on purpose, I never did to be honest. I miss you; I miss you terribly, and I almost joined you. But I realized life has to go on, something positive stepped into my life, bringing me my homework, he stopped me from joining you, and I am happy about that, but I also wish you could meet him. He's the opposite of us, friendly, social, sunny boy.", he laughed.

"I swear he's great, please forgive him for taking me back to life. It's hard without you, I was alone for years, I heard your calls, but I don't want to go, not now and not like this. I want destiny to decide what should happen to me, not myself, I shouldn't have this power, life is too precious to be erased like this. I saw that when I held my friends cold feathery body. Please, forgive me, but I will never forget you from now on. Goodbye, we'll meet again, in a few years.", he stood up, coming back to me. I quickly wiped away my tears and gave him a small smile.

"How do you feel?"

"Better, relieved, free."

"That's good isn't it?"

"Yeah."

"I overheard that you said I'm the opposite of you, were they like you?"

"Kind of yes. We weren't very social or fake friendly."

"Sounds like interesting people."

"Yeah, you would've been scared of them.", he smiled.

"Not surprised."

"Should we go to my place? Have a Whisky?"

"Sounds great."

We headed back to his house, he took his jacket off, rolled up the sleeves and poured in two glasses of Whisky.

"Are you rich?", I asked looking at the red soles of his shoes.

"Not rich but quite wealthy. What makes you think that?"

"You're shoes, your suits, your house."

"So, you're dating me just because of money?", he stood up starting some music.

"If I would do that I would've asked earlier."

"Fair point. Dance?", he reached out his hand.

"My pleasure.", I grabbed it, this time it was some slow waltz, I enjoyed dancing with him, although he was the better dancer. He laid his hands on my shoulders and his head against my chest. In this moment I didn't care about anything, I was just happy that he was happy. We danced to a few different pieces and songs before we went to bed.

The next morning, he was already gone, I dressed a bit nervous, I knew he would be okay but I still worried it would happen again. I found him in the old cage, still in pyjamas.

"Morning, what are you thinking about?", I hugged him from behind.

"Morning, I am not sure if I should keep it as relax zone or something or not. I hate garden work."

"If you want to keep it, I could help you, and my mom she loves flowers."

"That's nice of you but I won't burden you with this."

"You have time to decide.", I kissed his cheek.

We stood there for a few minutes, and I thought I heard some noises.

"Do you hear that?"

"What? I don't hear anything. "

"The master of deduction doesn't hear that?"

"No."

I walked around until it got louder, I climbed on the rocks and searched through the bushes until I found it. I jumped back down and smiled at him.

"What is it?", he asked, and I opened my hands.

"Oh my god! I can't believe this!", he carefully picked up the nest with the small birds and two unhatched eggs.

"We need to keep them warm and feed them.", he went out of the cage and pushed the wooden wall next to the door open.

Behind it was a quite long terrarium with two heating lamps, he put the nest in and looked for some left over seeds.

"Didn't know you had this."

"Well, I fostered and raised about 25 birds, so it's pretty useful."

"Yeah, you seem like a good father."

"Oh hell no. I'm too young for this."

"True. Maybe in the future."

"Maybe, maybe not.", he smiled.

"Seems like you have to keep this garden now.", I pulled him in my arms.

"Or I will cook some birds tonight.", I just looked at him in shock, not believing what I just heard.

"Don't worry. I won't.", he laughed, and I sighed relieved.

"Thank goodness I believed you for a second."

"I know.", he kissed me. That's why I love you, you can be easily scared.

"You're a little freak, I love you."

"I take that as a compliment now."

"Take it as what you want as long as you take me tonight too."

"We'll see about that, but I think my last name would suit you too."

"Maybe you can convince me to the first letter of it."

"If you are nice, I will stay with just one letter."

"I am always nice, but I think an 'A' would look pretty good on your chest too."

"Don't you even think about it.", he kissed me again.

"We'll see.", I kissed him back.

The end.
