Part 5

Renjun stirred awake once it was becoming too warm under the direct morning sun, rolling over in bed as the calming smell of the room made it difficult to open his eyes.

He pulled the covers up to his nose to get more of that amazing amber scent but all he could smell was the fabric softener and his nose scrunched up.

Feeling his eyes burn from the brightness despite being closed made him sit up and stretch his limbs lazily, placing his feet on the cool floor before opening his eyes and freezing for a moment.

The omega was pretty sure that he was the only person here but seeing the lump completely hidden under the white covers on the bed closest to his made him frown.

Suddenly feeling self conscious knowing just how puffy his face must look or how messy his hair usually is in the mornings he fixes his bed before grabbing his mug and disappeared downstairs.

Changing into a white tee and grey sweatpants he combed his hair and wore his glasses while searching the kitchen for food, not forgetting to spray on some scent blocker that he learned to always carry around.

While brewing another cup of green tea with jasmine he settled on eating from the leftover japchae and took everything out to the backyard terrace, cursing when the cool air in the shade hit his bare arms and retrieving a zip-up hoodie before digging into his meal.

The unbearable heat under the blankets woke Donghyuck up too soon for his liking, already regretting coming upstairs to sleep where there were no blackout curtains.

Sitting up with a groan he started feeling around the night table for his sunglasses that he wore when he came earlier for a reason not even he himself knows before looking around the empty room.

A warm breeze was moving the thin white curtains that hung by the open windows yet the bed underneath them was vacant and without the trace of the body that slept in it the previous night.

The alpha rolled off his bed ungracefully and headed for the bathroom to freshen up as he was rudely woken up by the hot summer sun.

What he definitely didn't expect after finding the room empty was to see the other boy calmly sip his morning tea just outside the kitchen and sketch something in his notebook.

"'Morning"

Renjun turned around and watched the similarly dressed boy approach him with a cup of noodles and sunglasses perched on his nose.

"Oh, so that was you... couldn't tell who the lump was earlier..." He smiled slightly as the taller took a seat by the table and placed his breakfast down before shivering a bit.

"I didn't expect to find you here either when I came for an early morning karaoke session." Donghyuck shrugged as he stared blankly at the backyard over the steaming cup of noodles.

"When even did you arrive, because I'm pretty sure you weren't here when I went to sleep at four."

"Around five? We gamed with Jeno but I wasn't sleepy so I ended up here." The alpha said as he finally took his chopsticks and started eating his food before it became soggy.

Renjun just hummed and continued sketching, the only sounds surrounding them were the ones the tan male let out during his breakfast.

"What weird scene are my eyes witnessing so early in the morning?"

Donghyuck, who was on his second ice cream after finishing the cup of noodles and the rest of the leftover japchae looked up at the newcomer who approached them with a plastic bag with a bored expression.

"I can't believe I'm finally seeing the two of you this close without being at each other's necks or arguing over something!" Ten said before sitting down beside Renjun and taking out the two rolls of kimbap that he brought.

"Am too lazy to entertain him." The omega said as he leaned his head on the older omega's shoulder.

"I get you, but Hyuck?"

"Can't... I'm too tired..." The alpha mumbled before continuing to stare into the distance.

"Did Jisung kick you out of your bed again or have you not gone back home at all last night?" Ten asked while unwrapping one of the kimbaps and placing it into the younger omega's hand knowing that Renjun probably only had a few bites of food for breakfast.

"He didn't kick me out of bed just stole my blankets and nearly squished me to death under his weight." The omega said with his scrunched up nose, feeling bad for running away when the scent of the young alpha would become suffocating and he needed to breath freely.

He loved Jisung dearly but ever since the pup presented and his alpha pheromones were going haywire Renjun's nose was having a hard time.

Recently the youngest learned to control his scent but he still tended to scent everything during sleep which sadly included the omega too if his room was invaded, and that was a daily occurrence.

Even before Renjun presented the youngest felt safe with him, having a sense of familiarity with the boy as his own parents were rarely around as he grew up, which only increased when his omega awakened and had the boy seek him out for comfort.

"He'll grow out of it soon." Ten comforted him knowing exactly where the actual problem lie as he was the younger omega's number one confidant.

"Anyways, Hyuck, how's life in the states?"

"Same as here just the language is different, although parties are wilder and people more open minded Johnny-hyung still wouldn't let me do something I might regret the next morning."

"So, no tats and one night stands?"

Donghyuck sighed dramatically before turning to face the other two and almost cooed at Renjun all curled up nibbling on his food.

"Not even drinking out with friends."

"That's because he knows how you get once you're intoxicated."

"Yah!"

"What?"

"Hey, hey, what happened with being too tired to argue?" Ten asked as he watched the alpha stand up and gather his trash before walking inside the kitchen to throw it away.

Silence engulfed them again as the tan male walked back outside and sent a lazy wave their way before walking off to his home probably to get some more sleep.

"Why don't you come over to our place and get some more rest too? Tonight's banquet is going to be exhausting so you need energy to power trough it."

Renjun looked at the older and nodded in defeat, cleaning up after himself before following Ten to his home that became one of his many refugee places these past few years.
