Part 12

Donghyuck was ready to turn around and smash his head against the closest wall just to escape the group of omegas surrounding them.

The four females and two males were from their biggest allied pack thus they had to be greeted first as per grandma Lee's orders.

Mark seemed to be getting along with the two guys while three of girls tried very hard to appeal to him by bragging about themselves and their families while batting their fake eyelashes at him.

After Jaemin left them to retrieve backup he's been focusing on counting the seconds to ignore the endless rambling from the three omegas.

Renjun could immediately tell that the guys were being tortured just by the smile on the tan alpha's face that he knew was forced.

"I brought over the others too~ guys this is R-" Jaemin's sentence was interrupted by the rather loud and annoying voice of their one and only Lee Donghyuck.

"Renjunie~ you finally arrived!" Throwing his arms around the shorter's shoulders he dramatically hugged the omega which made everyone around them stare in disgust or disbelief.

"Help me, please"

Renjun was ready to throw hands before he heard the other's plea and decided to play along since he didn't want to stay around this bunch either, already smelling their disgustingly sweet scents mix.

"Right, so that's Renjun and these are Jisung and Chenle, our two youngest ones."

The omega nodded and pried the alpha from himself but allowed him to continue hugging his arm tightly.

It was obvious how the three females tried to keep up a kind facade and commented on how close the two of them looked for alphas the same age.

"Oh? Sorry for assuming but I thought you were the omega who was our age." One of the guys said looking sincere and feeling a bit embarrassed for voicing out loud.

"You are right though, Renjunie here is our youngest omega presented so far." Mark added unaware of the tension his comment caused between the others.

The fake smiles of the three girls quickly turned icy cold at the sight of an omega being so close to their future alpha.

"Oh my, I would have never assumed that seeing how intimidating and aggressive he seems!"

One of them said innocently and the other two immediately agreed while Renjun's face became emotionless after finding it to tiring to pretend to like them.

He heard the alpha beside him snort and his wolf secretly thanked him for staying so close as his scent surrounded them and blocked out the other smells.

"You're right, he might be an omega but he's a little alpha by heart and wouldn't mind getting into fights with other wolves if it was for protecting the ones he loves."

"Yeah and the one usually pissing Jjun off enough to be feeling his wrath first hand is none other than Donghyuck." Mark once again added without reading the situation, only making things worse.

"It's because we've been best friends since diapers so it's amusing tipping him over and watching his usually patient self get replaced by an angry demon."

Donghyuck felt the subtle glances the others sent his way after the blatant lie but shrugged it off and continued his act.

"I don't mean to be judging but don't you think your personality would scare away alphas and betas who'd be your potential mates?"

Barbie number one, as Renjun decided to call her, asked with a fake worried expression and nearly made him fall out of character and laugh.

"And why would that be?"

"I mean you're a male omega so you already have it harder to fit the standards just by your looks and physique so it should be made up with personality, don't you think?"

"We're not saying that you're ugly because you are alright looking I guess, if someone is into the scary look, we're just worried about your future as a fellow omega."

Barbie number two added with fake smiles and dared to reach out and pat Renjun's arm in a comforting? manner.

Jisung who was standing to the side was clenching his fists and only held back from throwing a punch because Chenle grabbed his arm.

The short omega didn't show any reaction to these comments and that seemed to irk the girls, so Barbie number one decided to act bold.

"You wouldn't like an omega that unruly either, right alpha?"

Five pairs of eyes focused on the girl while the others looked uncomfortable under the hard glares and the weird situation.

It was considered rude talking about a person's scent if one was not close to them but addressing someone by their rank when one was barely an acquaintance was considered even worse.

Donghyuck's arms tightened around his friend's bicep and his scent soured when he saw that omega look at him expectantly.

None of the alphas answered her question and as the silence stretched out Barbie number three decided to try her luck instead.

"I'm sure she didn't intend to offend anyone and just wanted to give you some good advice, my friend.

I know fixing your personality is going to take long but for the meantime you could at least try and get rid of that boring two toned hair, maybe have a double eyelid surgery and most importantly burn those tacky clothes you're wearing."

A low growl was heard from Donghyuck's chest but before anyone could register it Jisung was standing in front of Renjun with an angry expression.

"Who do you think you are?" He asked with a deep voice that almost sounded like a growl.

"What? This conversation doesn't concern you baby alpha so stop interrupting!" Barbie number one actually dared to stand up to the whole head taller younger foolishly.

"I'm asking because you should feel honoured for coming to our pack as guests yet here you are insulting not only one of our precious omegas but also our pack's traditional clothing.

Now let me repeat my question again. Who do you think you are that you can do whatever you want here?"

The three omegas stared at him quietly as Jisung grabbed Renjun's arm and walked away, Jaemin, Chenle and Jeno following them too.

"Hah, does that baby alpha have feelings for that omega?!" One of the girls snorted only to receive a condescending glare from the tan alpha before them.

"I think I entertained you longer than enough for today so I'll go too before I do something that I might regret later and cause our alliance to crumble.

I don't want to see any of you three ever again because I swear I won't hold back and maybe even let you get a feel of our omega's rage.

Oh, and before I forget it, just a kind warning, talk bad about Jisung one more time and the whole Neo pack will be at your throats."

Donghyuck spun on his heels and walked away as far as he could without caring a bit about the scheming omegas who were left behind butthurt.
