"To paying back San Ricardo." The boys said in unison, holding up their golden eggs.

"To friends new and old." You said, and held up your egg.

"To being rich!" Kitty added, holding up her golden egg.

"Olay!" Humpty cheered. You and Puss began clapping a beat, while Humpy danced in front of the fire. You looked towards Kitty, who was heading back to her tent.

"Kitty, where are you going?" You asked.

"No, I feel a... hairball coming on." She coughed and walked into her tent. You shrugged, and saw Puss drumming on the golden eggs and you did the same, while Humpty danced and cheered.

"You." Puss said flirtatiously.

"Me?" You answered, smirking a little.

"Yeah you, baby." Your ears turned burning hot as he walked closer, until Humpty pushed Puss away from you and began dancing with you.

"One, two, cha cha cha. Three, four, cha cha cha." He said, doing a very slow dance, much slower than what you would have preferred. You felt a paw grab you away, and you saw Puss. "One, two..." The goose chirped at Humpty. "What?!" Humpty exclaimed, letting go on the goose's wing that was in his hand. Puss spun around with you, stopping, with his hand on your waist.

"There is one word for you, Y/N Softpaws. Me-wow~" He whispered, changing sides.

"I know you have quite a reputation with the ladies." You answered, your hand brushing past his face. "Mr. Frisky Two Times~"

"I've also been known as the..." He paused. "Furry Lover!" You rolled your eyes, and did a backflip, and did a small spin. "But that was before I met you." He quickly replied.

"You don't know me, Puss. I'm not who you think I am. I'm all about the score." You smirked, you paws on his chest.

"Come on!" He said, and spun you in the air, before towering over you, your paws on his shoulder. "Look me in the eyes and tell me all you care about is the gold."

"Puss.." You mumbled, your face slowly leaning closer to his.

"Y/N.." He leant closer, as if to kiss you, but Humpty pulled you away, and instead, Puss nearly kissed the goose.

"New partners!" Humpty laughed, and spun you around, and pulled you closer to him.

"Do not fall for his animal magnetism! Stay focused." He whispered harshly, his grip tightening on your wrist. Puss dived down under Humpty and grabbed you by the boots.

"Aah!" You yelped, and Puss dragged you away from Humpty.

"What?!" Humpty exclaimed in surprise. Puss threw you in the air, and you did an aerial twist, before landing on Puss' shoulders, and he put you down. You noticed that you were on top of the golden eggs.

"So, I have been thinking, Miss Softpaws." He began, clearing his throat and you raised your eyebrows. "That when we go our separate ways we can go our separate ways.." He spun you around and pulled you down so that he was towering over you again. "Together." He finished.

"Puss, you have to go, now." You begged him urgently. The next part of the plan was one you had been dreading.

"You do not have to push me away anymore. You can trust me." He told you, his eyes so full of trust that it hurts that you have to break it.

"But..." You began, but Humpty comes between you interrupting your moment.

"Give it up for the legends of San Ricardo!" Humpty interrupted, holding Puss by his waist. "Humpty and Puss, we did it!" They sat down next to the log and you sat next to Puss.
