In the midst of the rain, I stand alone,
Tears mixing with drops that fall from the sky.
Heartache has left me broken and prone,
A shattered soul that cannot deny.
The raindrops beat upon my face,
A rhythmic reminder of my pain.
I cannot escape this lonely place,
Where heartbreak and tears fall like rain.
Each drop that falls feels like a blow,
Echoes of memories that won't subside.
I stand in the downpour, head hung low,
Wishing for a way to run and hide.
But the rain keeps coming, relentless and strong,
A storm that matches the turmoil within.
The heartbreak, the hurt, the love that's gone wrong,
All pouring down on me, soaked to the skin.
The drops of rain mask my tears,
As I relive the moments we held dear.
The laughter and the love we shared,
All gone now, leaving me scared.
The sound of raindrops hitting the ground,
Echoes the beating of my heart's sound.
A constant reminder of the pain,
That I feel in my heart's domain.
But as I stand there, soaked and broken,
I realize something deep within my heart.
This heartbreak, this pain, this storm unspoken,
Is a chance for a brand new start.
Until then, I'll let the rain wash away,
The memories of yesterday.
And wait for a new day to begin,
Hoping that the sun will shine again.
