Jungkook wasn't sure how he got himself into this mess.
In hindsight, maybe keeping such a big secret from his best friends wasn't the best idea, but keeping it secret was the only thing that let him be their friend in the first place. It was a mess. If there was a god Jungkook was sure they were having the time of their life watching him navigate the mess he'd put himself in.
It hadn't seemed like a big deal at first.
Jungkook was moving to Seoul to start university as an art major. When choosing his classes, he had realized that he would have to take some human classes. There was no difference in the material, just that some classrooms could only accomodate humans, and some only giants, while most had room for both.
It just so happened that some of the classes Jungkook was taking would be much easier to fit into his schedule if he took the human version. There was also a dance crew that Jungkook was thinking about trying to join, and they happened to be human as well.
Jungkook was a shifter, something that wasn't exactly common, but not too rare either. Basically, in their society where humans and giants lived together peacefully, there were some people who were able to shift between the two sizes at will.
Jungkook was born as a giant, which meant he was much more comfortable at his giant size. But he had no problem staying human sized, if necessary he could stay small for several days before he had to turn back. So going to university as a human wouldn't be an issue.
At least that's what he had thought.
It worked out well at first. Jungkook would walk to class on the human walkways all around the school, surrounded by some of his human classmates, while some of them were hitching rides with their giant friends. He was sure that a few other people in his classes were also shifters, they were just hard to spot.
What Jungkook was doing really wasn't that unusual, it was a known fact that shifters would attend both human, giant or mixed classes as they see fit.
That's why Jungkook had been confident that there wouldn't be any problems with him going to human classes, but of course he had been wrong.
Jungkook had eventually gone to see the dance crew he had been interested in, along with several other freshmen.
Skipping ahead just a little bit, Jungkook got accepted into the crew, and started attending practice with them once every week. That's where he met two of his new best friends, two fellow dancers named Jimin and Hoseok. They were both easy to get along with, and it didn't take long before the three of them were very close.
Then one day Jimin had brought along his best friend/soulmate Taehyung, who fit easily into their little group. That had given Hoseok the idea to bring along one of his other friends, Namjoon. Then Taehyung had decided to introduce them to his friend Seokjin, and then Hoseok and Namjoon had decided together to bring along a friend who really needed to get out more, Yoongi.
Basically, within maybe two weeks they had formed a group of seven that was completely inseperable by now. It was rare to see any of them without at least one of the others accompanying them, usually more than one. The guys had figured out that they shared a few classes with each other, and just hadn't noticed each other before, which made it even easier for them to follow each other everywhere.

FanfictionAll over the internet there is a serious lack of good BTS g/t stories, and I'm sick of reading the same ones over and over again. Basically, when I get a new idea for a oneshot I'll add it here.
