Buuuuut if you really get on my back about it, I'd probably go with Sabrina. I've been a fan of her since for years, even before she blew up!! No one believes me when i say i've been a fan of her since before espresso and the short n sweet phenomenon, but its TRUE I SWEAR 😭😭 I was obsessed with both singular act albums. Looking at Me was my JAM and it even had its own little moment in the CS fandom (aka the primary fandom i was active in).

I was into girl meet's world as a kid, and Maya had my whole heart then just like Sab has it now.

I love that she's getting so much success rn. Pop music is SO back! Short n sweet was a great fun pop album. No hate but the sad girl era was getting kinda tiring. And none of them did it as well as the trailblazer sad girl, Miss Lana Del Rey.

Anyway, the rest of her discog is also top notch fun bedroom pop. Emails i can't send was EVEN BETTER!! Fast Times is probably one of my fav songs of all time.

But I'm a quintessential Gen Z girly at heart, so I absolutely adore Olivia's stuff as well. Sour was an AMAZING debut album and such a moment. I will never get tired of listening to Brutal, Good 4 U, jealousy jealousy, and Favorite Crime. I think GUTS was a great follow up. So excited to see what she cooks up for album 3.

Regarding their beef....uuhhhh.... Hate to say it but i'm kind of a little more on Olivia's side on this one. While both of them never "directly" referenced one another - they were pretty damn obvious about it. However, none of Olivia's lyrics were ever that malicious to Sabrina, you know? They were more like, "oh my god, shes so gorgeous and i'll never compare." But in "Skin," Sabrina was kinda being like "he chose me screw you bitch stay mad" but like in a subdued typa way... I understand she was getting a lot of hate thrown her way but i DUNNO. Not the classiest move.

They clearly dislike each other and thats OK. I dont think either of them did anything strictly wrong either. I don't think you have to "choose" a side. You can enjoy both.

There, thats my essay on it lmao
