Part 15 Scandal - cry but finish the cake

Continuing from the last part,

While Monami was still troubled about coming up with a new cake, the scandal between her and Karan slowly started to spread throughout the restaurant.

None of the workers in the lobby sat with her during lunch, all of them stared at her with despise and jealousy in their eyes.

Monami picked up her food tray then brazenly walked over to Suman ji and smiled at her.

Suman ji sighed and resentfully looked over at her. "You should just come clean to us about your relationship with KS, otherwise you'll end up being victimised. "

Monami: "..."

She pursed her lips together and smiled at Suman ji. "Aap sab sirf ek word k basis par mere aur KS k beech koi relationship hai yeh assume nahi kar skti h."

Suman ji retorted, "Suman ji tumhare iss argument par yakeen tab hi kar skti hain agar woh Sumanji ko bhi sweetheart bole."

Monami. "..."

Would you promise if he calls you sweetheart?

Suman ji continued, "In fact hum sab ne KS ko smile karte hue dekha. Tumhe lagta hain ki tum hume trick kar sakti ho.. Tell Sumanji, what kind of evil intentions do you have with him!"

Monami felt a little helpless. "Okay. So what if KS really had smiled? Koi rule hain kya ki woh smile nahi kar sakta? Ho sakta hain ki kuch acha hua ho aur iss wajah se woh khush ho? Ab kya aap log KS ko smile bhi nahi karne doge?"

"That's why hume lagta hain ki the happiness he's found is love, and that the partner he found you!" Suman ji huffed and ferociously pointed her finger at Monami, as if she were some criminal.

She really wanted to whip Rishi right there and then.

Suman ji's finger stayed anchored onto her, but her expression became warm. "We don't want to break you guys apart, but hum tumhare liye worried hain. Ek baar socho, KS ka jo status h.. uss hisab se for sure, his family members would've already chosen a wife for him. He's only playing you right now, don't you think you'll be the one getting hurt in the end?"

Monami paused for a moment. Hm, she actually had a point.

A family like KS's would use marriage as an investment, except, KS's situation would be a little unusual, would his future wife be able to handle him?

Suman ji saw her expression relax and nodded her head in satisfaction. "Tum abhi bhi Bach sakti ho.. bs take some time to think about it. "

Monami: "..."

Meanwhile, Bala and Faizi were waiting at Karan's house. The moment the door opened, both of them stood up. 　

Rishi's lips carried a hint of a smile as he walked in. One hand ruffled through his hair, the other threw his car keys onto the lounge room coffee table.

Bala's brows raised a little, Faizi assessed his actions then smiled. "Long time no see, Rishi. "

Rishi laughed and sat down on the sofa in front of him. "Well, for you, wouldn't you prefer ki main kabhi na dikhu, Faizi?"

Faizi maintained the smile on his face and said no more. Bala, however, was unable to calm down. "When did you appear? Tum kahan gaye the?"

Rishi looked over at him, eyes dyed with unmistakable interest. "Main Sweetheart se milne restaurant gya tha."

Bala's heart literally crumbled, this was the worst possible outcome! Ah, no, he should be thankful Rishi didn't go straight to the office!
