"To love someone completely is to
GRIEVE THE ABSENCE OF THEM."STELSA FIDGETED WITH THE GRAY dress Aba had recently made, or so she thought. It had fit perfectly before and now was growing tight around her shoulders and chest. An annoyed sigh fell from Stelsa's lips as she eyed the recent developments her body had made. She was growing taller, which she did not mind, but she noted the way her chest rounded. Aba had told her it would because she was growing into a woman. Stelsa was then taught how to wear a corset, which was awfully constricting and downright unneeded. There were days when Stelsa almost did not wear it, but Aba sharply pointed and Stelsa would put it on begrudgingly, might she say. She complained a lot in the beginning when wearing it, but when her complaints were only met with sharp glares from Aba she stopped. Stelsa supposed she could deal with it as long as the bleeding never came. It had not yet, thank the Gods. Which meant Stelsa was still free even with these latest developments.
A gentle knock followed by the soft, timid voice of Dyanna rang out, "Are you decent?" Stelsa moved to the door and swung it open, huffing as she gestured to the dress.
"Aba just made this, Dyana, and it barely fits." Stelsa grumbled, stepping away to head towards the pile of dresses from the chest, putting them to one side to be fixed, "All of them are like this." The door quietly shut as Dyana quickly headed over to help clean up the pile of dresses. "I do not understand why I am not allowed to walk around in a tunic and trousers. It would make life so much easier." Stelsa complained, making Dyana giggle at her misfortune.
"How so?" Dyana's voice spoke softly, easing Stelsa to sit on the ground with her back leaned against the chest.
"Well, for starters I could move freely. And breathe, Gods do I miss being able to breathe." Stelsa turned her head to watch Dyana smile, the type of smile that reached ear to ear. "Boys would stop staring at me as though I am their next meal-" She shuddered at that. Every hall she took she felt eyes watching her, but in a different way. Stelsa didn't know how it was different, but it was and she despised it. "-and I rather think it would be easier to grow in them."
Dyana giggled, reaching her hands out to help Stelsa up from the ground, "You would think, but they are equally as difficult to grow into." Dyana headed for the door, "You should ask the prince if you are curious." The serving girl opened the door at that, turning to wait for Stelsa to follow.
"I will." Stelsa stated matter-of-factly as she strode past Dyana, smirking at the giggle that followed her confidence, "Where is my dearest Heleana this morning?" Stelsa asked as the two took off down the hall. It was quiet. Shift change had already happened, the royals had been fed, and now it was time to do mediocre tasks until lunch or dinner. Stelsa tried to ignore the stares the two girls received as they walked past, almost unconsciously the two of them moved closer.
"The princess needed some fresh air this morning. She is in the gardens waiting for you." Dyana explained. In the time since the wedding, Dyana had become a second hand for Heleana. It benefited Stelsa. Dyana was the only girl Stelsa trusted around Heleana, especially in recent months.
