That jerk

That buffalo... that, that-

I didn't even know the word that would be good enough to describe him now

When he had called me into his office, I had thought that he wanted to apologize to me for the previous night

Turns out I had overestimated him..

He didn't even have the courtesy of sounding the least bit sorry

I picked up my phone and texted Ezra..

"I'm so sorry Ezra, but I won't be able to make it tonight. Something important came up at work" I texted and sent

"Oh.. that's fine Lana. We can always go next time" he replied almost immediately

The text saddened me, I had also been looking forward to our second date

"Thank you Ezra and I'm sorry once again" I sent and dropped my phone on the desk with a sigh

Yesterday, he had asked me out on a date for tonight and I had agreed knowing I would have been free at the time but now Atlas and work came up and totally disrupted that plan

The more reason I needed to leave Knight and Co

I literally had no life outside of work and that was seriously beginning to disturb me

Few hours later...

Working hours were over.

I followed Mr Knight out and found David standing by his car

David was Atlas driver who drove him arowgen he didn't want to drive himself or when he got too busy with other things

David has been working here for a complete year now and he was a very polite and nice middle aged man

Once he saw us, he gave us polite greetings

"Mr Knight, Miss West" he said with a nod of his head

Atlas  nodded back at him while I greeted him with a smile 

"Hi David" I said and he smiled back at me

I began to move to my own car when Atlas voice reached my ears

"Where are you going?" He asked

I turned back to him confused by his question

He could obviously see I was heading towards my car

"To my car?" I said still confused

"You are riding with me" he said with a tone of finality

"But my car-" I had began to protest when he interrupted me

"Your car will be at your house by the time I drop you off at home. David will get it there" he said giving no room for any further resistance from me as he got into his car.

I sighed and joined him. Soon after, the car pulled out of the company

All through the ride, I could feel Atlas penetrating gaze focused on the side of my face but ignored it regardless of how hard it was for me to do so. But I was successful by fixing my gaze outside the window

When we got to the expensive looking restaurant, I observed that our partners we had come to see were not here yet

When we were settled, I finally turned to Mr Knight

"Sauna publishers are not here yet, do you need me to call them Mr Knight?" I asked

But he shook his head in disapproval.
