Lana

The whole house was in total disarray.

Everyone was running around to make everything perfect and I really appreciated that.

It was August 5th, exactly two months since I returned back to Atlas and Atlas's birthday.

The last two months had been a wild ride. A lot had happened within such a short period of time.

After we left the hospital that day, we had a lengthy discussion about his illness and soon after he began therapy again and sometimes I joined him.

For the first two weeks, I stayed with him because of his anxiety that I might disappear again but with therapy we both got better and I moved back to my apartment even though he didn't quite like it.

I also decided to not go back to Knights and Co or should I say, partially not go back?

When I spoke to Atlas about my confusion on what to do next with my life and my desire to go back to school, he encouraged me to follow whatever my heart tells me, promising to be with me every step of the way and he kept to his promise because soon after, he helped with my enrollment into a close by university of my choice.

Then, he went on to offer me the part time job of still being his personal assistant. I got to do the simple stuff while Justin focused on the more important things. Since we had gotten quite close before I left, working together again was enjoyable.

Life felt so good again.

I and Atlas were so in love and we finally had both our lives in check.

A week to his birthday, he asked me to move in with him and I happily obliged.

One, because I missed him every time we had to part ways and second, because of his birthday.

Unknown to him, I got his mum, Cameron and the staff on his team to plan a surprise birthday dinner for him. Something which would have been harder if I didn't now live with him.

Atlas and his mother did have a rough time patching things up after the whole incident but Mrs Knight was persistent and I was also persuasive.

After I got Atlas to meet with her once, they slowly began to sort things out and now, I would like to say they were in a good place.

Following the plan, every staff in on the birthday plan clocked out of work right on time knowing that my workaholic boyfriend always left late.

We finally got everything in place in less than an hour. With so many hands on deck it turned out to be much easier than I thought.

Justin, whose job was to be on the lookout, rushed into the dinning space where everyone was gathered.

"The eagle is in the building. I repeat, the eagle is in the building" he said in a hushed voice.

Everyone giggled as they scurried to go find a hiding spot while I made my way to the entrance to welcome him.

"If it isn't the birthday boy" I said with a smile as soon as he stepped in.

He smiled, taking me into a hug.

"Hi baby, did you cook? The house smells amazing" he said, leaning away to look at me but I only gave him a smirk before gesturing for him to lean down.

He looked at me curiously before doing as I asked.

"If you don't clear your plate tonight, you won't be getting some" I whisper into his ears.

He turned to look at me surprised before giving me a wide smile.

"Your wish is my command ma'am" he replied jokingly before taking my hands and walking us to the dining area.

As soon as we stepped in, everyone jumped out of their hiding spot before shouting "SURPRISE!"

Atlas

SURPRISE!

The shout startled me at first until I made out everyone's face in the room.

Slowly, a big smile took over my face and I turned to Lana.

"You planned this?" I asked, looking down at her tenderly.

She smiled back at me with a nod. "we all did," she responded.

Leaning down, I placed my forehead on hers.

"I love you," I whisper to her sincerely.

"I love you too," she replied with a smile.

The tiny awws that followed my action had me facing everyone with a smile.

"Thank you guys, I really appreciate this" I said sincerely to them.

They had a lot of activities planned.

They sang me a birthday song, wished me, gave me presents, then cutting of  cake, they mimicked me and finally dinner followed after.

Happiness was an understatement to describe the way I felt.

Living up to my woman's wish, I ate every single thing on my plate until there was nothing more to eat.

That was when I realised why she told me to finish my food.

The letters on the plate had me dropping my utensils with a clanging sound.

Newest dad in town.

I raised my head up to find her already staring at me with a smile.

"Is- is it?" I asked, finding it hard to form a sentence.

She nodded "yes, I am pregnant" she said.

I jumped out of my chair in excitement before going over to pickup her up.

With a single twirl, I dropped her gently to the floor with giggles escaping from both our lips.

"What do you think of a winter wedding? We could have one during Christmas or the new year" I suggested excitedly.

"They all sound nice but who will you be marrying if I may ask" she asked with her brows arched at me.

"You, of course," I said wondering why she would even ask that.

She hit me lightly on the chest before giving me a small glare.

"Why don't you ever know how to ask a woman rightly?" She said, looking a bit disappointed.

Finally realizing what she meant, I didn't hesitate to drop down on my knees.

"I swear I've been walking around with your ring for the past month trying to find the right time to pop the question. Now I need the damn ring, it's upstairs" I started off nervously.

I heard some chuckles coming from the dinning before continuing.

"I love you Lana, I will keep letting you know that for as long as we live. You were the light the heavens gave to me in my darkest moment and I've never been more grateful for that. Now, all I want is to spend every breathing moment with you, forever. Will you marry me, Lana?" I finally asked her.

Smiling down at me, she said "of course I will."

Jumping for the second time tonight, I took her lips in mine for a kiss.

Everyone cheered in the background shouting their congratulations.

She leaned away from our kiss before giving me a pointed look "go get my ring" she said smiling.

"Yes ma'am," I said loudly before rushing to make it up the stairs with the laughter of everyone ringing through the room.

I guess wanting Lana finally paid off.
