I had always wondered what having an office romance would be like.

It always looked cute in the dramas and once in a while when I allowed myself to, I daydreamed about it.

But I was wrong.

So fucking wrong.

It was hard to have an office romance because the romance was nowhere to be found.

Or to rephrase, we couldn't have the romance because everyone seemed to be everywhere and we just never got to be alone at all.

Was it always like that and I never noticed?

You might be wondering why I sounded so irritated and this is why.

After we got back to work as a couple, things were way busier for Atlas and I understood that it had to do with the deal we just closed with Santos Tech.

He had the whole week occupied with evening meetings and I would know that as his assistant. What little moments I got to spend with him always seemed to be interrupted one way or the other.

Thinking about it now just reminded me of all our failed attempts.

One time I went into his office in pretence of giving him a file when really all I wanted to do was be in the same space as him.

I remember walking into his office with a shy smile on my face and most importantly, I remembered his bright welcoming smile immediately he saw me.

"Hi" I said to him, still feeling shy for some reason.

If anything his smile only brightened.

"Well hi to you too Miss West. Now if my beautiful girlfriend is done being shy, will you come over here?" he said referring to coming behind his desk.

I felt my cheeks redden with a blush.

For some reason him emphasising on the fact that I am his girlfriend was such a turn on for me.

I slowly made my way behind his desk and stood directly in front of him awkwardly for a few seconds before he tugged on my hand hard enough that I lost my balance and landed right in his laps.

I gasped in surprise and looked up at him with wide eyes.

"What are you doing Atlas?" I asked, still surprised and a little panicked that anyone could see us.

"You mean 'baby' right?" He said cheekily and that immediately brought a smile to my face.

My gosh, he was killing me with his cuteness

"I've missed you" he confessed softly, leaning his forehead against mine.

I unconsciously bit into my lower lips as I stared into his warm grey eyes "I missed you too" I said.

We were leaning towards each other for a kiss.

We were so close.. so close.

But then there was a rushed knock on his door and before I knew what I was doing, I was pushing off Atlas lap. The effect of my sudden movement had a surprised Atlas rolling away from me in his roller chair to a bit of a distance.

I didn't even have the chance to whisper my apology to him as Justin came rushing in.

"Sir-" he began to say then paused when he saw me standing awkwardly beside Atlas.

"Mr Justin you should know that when you knock on a door you wait until you are told to come in" Atlas said throwing a glare at Justin and I saw him visibly go pale.
