Chapter 26: Marry Me?

After my nails were dry, I grabbed my things and left the salon, waving to Gabby on my way out. She waved back, and she seemed like she was enjoying herself. I was happy for her. I got in my car and took my phone out. I found Odell's name, hesitated, and clicked on our messages.

Ash: Hey... just finished. Can I head to your place? 4:24 pm

Odell: Yeah, I'm home. 4:24 pm

Well, I see he was waiting for my text to come through. I smiled; I couldn't help myself, knowing he was waiting for me. I put my phone down and started the car. Then, I pulled out my spot and headed to his place. When I arrived at his gate, I typed in the code and was let in. I smiled at the gatekeeper and drove up to his house. I parked behind his Rover and stopped the car.

I got out, putting my phone in my back pocket while walking to the door. I knocked twice and waited. No one answered; I checked the door, and it was unlocked. Was he okay? I was about to walk away when my phone chimed. I took it out and looked at it.

Odell: Come inside. It's safe, I promise. 4:45 pm

I put the phone back in my pocket and entered the house. I entered the house, and it was dark; I closed the door behind me. I noticed a flickering light past the kitchen. When I got there, I walked towards the light and noticed it was a candle lit. I looked down the hall and saw lit candles leading somewhere.

I smiled and followed the candles to the back room he uses as a guest room. When I arrived, he stood in the room surrounded by lit candles. The candles were placed in a heart shape. My favorite flowers and roses also surrounded him. On the bed were rose petals in the form of a heart. There was also champagne, two glass, and a couple of wrapped boxes.

I looked at Odell, and he watched me. "What is all this Odell?" I still stood in the doorway.

"Come in and find out," he shyly smiled. I took a deep breath and walked towards him until I was inches away. I could smell his cologne and his deodorant. God, he smelled heavenly. I closed my eyes to take it all in; Odell had his hand out when I opened my eyes. A box was in his hand.

"For you" was all he said.

I hesitantly took the box. I looked up at Odell, and he nodded. I looked at him for a few seconds, then, tearing my gaze away, I opened the box. Inside was a necklace that had his last name on it. I looked up at him and smiled.

"Here to hoping you become a Beckham soon," he smiled. I couldn't help but chuckle, and he was smooth with it.

I turned, "Help me put it on?" He took the necklace, placed it around my neck, and fastened it. Then his hands traveled down my neck and my arms. We ended up with him embracing me from behind. I pulled away first, and then I turned to look at him.

"What is all this," I asked him.

"If I have to prove to you how much I love you everyday, I will do it. There is no one I'd rather be with than you. If I have to wait a year or two, dammit I'm going to wait. You are my forever," he explained.

I couldn't hold back anymore, and I loved this man. I pulled his head towards me, and I kissed him. He tasted so good. Our tongues touched and swirled together. He pulled my body closer, picked me up, and continued kissing. God, I love how strong he is. He walked a little to the bed, ensuring he didn't hit a candle on the way over. He laid me on the bed and rested on his hands, hovering above me.

"Marry me. Next weekend," Odell spoke.

I looked at him surprised, "Can we do everything in a week?"
