Blake watched you stumble to your feet. There was a gash in your forehead where you hit the corner of the payphone. Blood was gushing from the cut and running down into your eye, but you elected to ignore it.

"You should probably run." Blake's lips crept into a smirk. Your eyes shifted to the side before meeting back with Blake's. Golden Soul threw a punch at the boy, but it was blocked by Know Your Enemy. The two stands struggled against one another for a moment before you deactivated your ability and made a brake toward a house nearby.

Blake, largely unconcerned about you getting too far, calmly walked behind your disoriented form.

The house you fled to was left unlocked. You threw open the door and slammed shut behind you. By toppling over a shelf that was left in the entryway, you managed to barricade the entrance. Several water damaged books scattered across the floor when you did so. The shelf wouldn't buy you much time, Blake's stand was strong, all you had was a few minutes at most.

You frantically glanced around the mostly dilapidated living room. Aside from the bookshelf, the house looked completely barren. Ragged breaths wracked your chest as you heard Know Your Enemy braking down the flimsy old door. As the sound of splintering wood met your ears, you looked down at the books on the floor. You picked up a few of the thicker ones and retreated further into the house.

......

Blake stood back as his stand broke open the old door. When he was finally past the obstacles you obviously placed hurriedly, Blake was met with an empty living room. The condemned house's floorboards creaked in protest with every step he took inside. Everything was deathly silent until a door slammed somewhere in the home, emitting a loud bang, and causing the whole building to settle. Blake carefully crept past the entryway into an adjacent hallway. Molded carpet stretched down a narrow corridor lined with what looked to be bedrooms. All of the doors were left ajar except for one at the very end of the hall.

Blake regarded the open rooms carefully before moving to the shut door.

"Hiding?" Blake laughed, stopping in front of the closed door. "That's unlike you-" He stopped talking just in time to see you appear from one of the rooms with a door left ajar. Blake used his stand to block an attack from Golden Soul. While the two stands were once again grappling, you ran at Blake with large book as your only weapon. Blake easily caught your wrist before you could bash at his head with the large book. An unamused glare managed to flit across his features, yet his eyes still held their usual teasing glint. "I'm starting to think I hit you too hard. Did you really think such a simple trick would work?"

You attempted wrenching yourself from his vice grip, but he seemed superhumanly strong. Within a moment of struggling Blake bend your wrist backwards, forcing you to drop the book. A scream left your throat as Blake continued forcing the joint into an unnatural and painful position. He let go, and you fell to your knees, cradling your injury. Pain coursed through your tendons all the way up your arm as they tried forcing your wrist back into place.

"This is adorable... but pathetic." Blake jeered. "Got anything to say about that?"

You gathered the blood in your mouth from your busted lip and spit it out at your enemy's feet. After taking a deep breath and swallowing the pained tears gathered in your eyes, you prepared yourself to give Blake a piece of your mind.

Before you could however, a click sounded in front of you.

You quickly looked up only to see a glint of silver. Eyes widened; you had a suspicion confirmed. Blake was done playing with you. He was really trying to kill you now.
