AVA'S POV
Nathan stood shell shocked by what just happened.
"How long have you known about that." Nathan asked still trying to compose himself.
"A couple weeks ago. I saw it when I visited the home with a woman. Louis De Lawrence. " He stated going into the house without looking back.
We trailed behind him on the stairs leading to a door at the bottom of the stairs. The doors slides open after a retinal scan of Xavier; whatever that means. When I get inside I see a lab. A state of the art tech lab. At the center of the lab in a big transparent gas tank carrying a blueish black gas thick inside it.
Is this the. . . What did Karen call it again. . . Urgh I hate biology.
"I present to you people. . . Biological dark matter in the flesh. A group of unclassified species that where not meant to be discovered until about six to seven centuries in the future when we humans can make our selves god and the natural law of nature; survival of the fittest comes in without question. It's an era where people like us brother, become gods." He takes his seat on a stool while resting his back on the wall and continuing his explanation. "How she got her hands on this I don't have a single idea on that but what can I say we Audrey's have always been geniuses. Mom had ideas to change the world in the right way but some people just wouldn't let that happen.
I'm about to explain to you why I have done what I have done. You all know what happened and how inhumans came into existence or do I have to go over that story again. I mean I literally took my time and made you suffer just to know that."
We didn't say anything and he continued.
"Right from when we were little you we started developing traits that let's just say we're not human in anyway. You developed super speed which was really cool and didn't have any side effects if not exhaustion at that time. The same was not the case for me. I always had the ability to read minds Nathan. Right from the start. Reading minds was really just the first part of my ability I discovered. At first it just scared the hell out of me when the only thing I would be hearing when people talk to me would be voices in my head. Their thoughts and ideas accompanied with it would be this brutal headache at the end. As we grew up the pain only continued to worsen. The day we found this room Nathan the only thoughts that were ringing in mom's head at that time was.
I'll soon get a cure."
"A cure for what?" Dad asked.
"Don't tell me she was looking for it?" Karen said while tears were welling in her eyes again.
"So she told you." His sly smirk back again. Irritating thing. "Yes she was. That is until you came with your genius plan and triggered a kid into commiting murder. Do you even know how that feels. If I'm being honest I brought you and Chris here specifically so that Sandra and Ava could kill both of you maybe they'll be able to feel my pain but that's not the main purpose of me meeting you in person today but the idea seems great though." I shivered at the thought of killing someone much less my own father. I don't think I'd be able to live with myself how did Xavier survive with that guilt hunting him throughout his life. I looked into his eyes and found an emotionless gaze. He still regrets. He hates what he's done. It still hunting him. Xavier is like Nathan once they become hurt they become emotionless, cold and dangerous.
"Anyhow, due to Karen and her goon squad her cure could never be complete. When we went to the orphanage Nathan, I discovered that my ability to read minds started increasing rapidly but less the amount of headaches I usually receive I could read the minds of kids in the orphanage easily but at that point growing up reading into Nathan's head became a hassle. When you left I knew instantly and at that point I was sleeping but I just knew not because of whatever special twin connection out there that people usually talk about but because the headache came back to me with a hundred times more force than before. I wasn't trying to pry into your mind at that point or rather your mind was to far for me to get to it considering my current capability at that point.
