Grey's hood and mask remained firmly secured around his face as he clawed at the hand gripping the back of his neck.

"Give me the girl." Blue Crossed hissed. They stepped out into the street, dragging Grey with them.

"Why the fuck would we do that?" Hanta fired back, dropping into a fighting stance.

"Because it's the girl, or this traitorous bastard." They shook Grey, the boy visibly tensing in the hold.

"We don't have her." Neito sighed, shaking his head. He stepped forwards, in front of Hizashi and Hanta, propping a hand on his hip. "Hito' told us about her, but the kid ran away before we found him. We can only hope she's still alive, out on the streets by herself."

Blue Crossed stilled, Grey still in their tight grasp. "You think I'm gonna fall for that bullshit?"

"You think I'd be messing with you if we had her?" Neito snapped. "I don't give two shits about some random-ass kid. Him," he jabbed a finger towards Grey, "on the other hand. I have a score I wanna settle with him. I need him alive."

Oh. I see what he's doing.

"Besides," Hanta joined his brother, "if you truly believed we had her, why didn't you just go straight to the house? You really think we'd bring a child to a fight?"

Neito shook his head mournfully, "You have such little faith in us."

"Shut the fuck up." Blue Crossed ground their teeth. "Tell me where she is."

"We just did. We don't know." Neito reiterated with a huff.

Blue Crossed didn't respond. They only stood silently, watching, waiting. Their hand tightened yet again on Grey's neck. Hanta froze. Any tighter and they'd do serious harm to him - if they didn't cut off his airways before then.

"I'm getting tired of you, little boys."

And Blue Crossed finally snapped. They dropped Grey, the boy falling to the floor, gasping for air. Blue loomed over him, dragging his hood back and gripping his auburn hair in their fist. "You better watch you back, kid. I know where your family is." And with that, they tossed him aside.

"And as for the rest of you." They cast their gaze over the rest of the Aizawas. "Don't think this is the end." They dipped into a sweeping bow, crosses never breaking eye contact. "Because I know we'll meet again, some sunny day."

They swept into the shadows. Neito rushed after them, but there was nothing left but the stale smell of chlorine in the air.

"Guys!"

Neito and Hanta flinched at the sudden shouting in their earpieces.

"I need help."

"Izuku?" Hanta turned to face Neito, eyes wild behind the mask. "What happened?"

"I think Kaminari is hurt." He hesitated. "Bad."

"Kami is here?" Hanta sounded both horrified and irritated in the same breath.

"Where do you need us?" Neito was right on it, glancing up and down the street, ready for anything.

"Next street over." And the line went dead.

"Grey!" Hanta exclaimed as the boy in question pushed to his feet. His legs wobbled beneath him, and he rubbed at the red marks covering his neck. His hood had stayed down, revealing the wild mop of hair beneath it. Hanta briefly wonders how it all fit under the hoodie as the front strands fall into Grey's eyes, and he had to flick them out the way.
