Daniel and myself headed towards everyone else who were all gathered at the exit, "were gonna go and grab lunch, coming?" Adam asked, we nodded, and all headed out of the fair and towards the cars.
My phone started to ring and I excused myself from the guys saying I would meet them by the car, they nodded and gave me a small smile each.
Once they were all out of earshot I answered the phone, "hello?" I spoke into the phone, there was heavy breathing and carefully I looked at the number...
mom.
taking a shaky breath in I placed the phone back to my ear, "mom?" I spoke carefully trying not to show any type of emotion towards her, "tonight dinner at 7pm, then be at the beach strip where it happened at midnight" she said.
Where it happened... the place where Becca was taken, a small secluded beach strip, right next to a pier but hidden by large rocks making it unable to be seen.
"No, I can't go there" I stated, feeling my face drain of colour, Becca, "do it, or your little family of friends will be the ones paying, Alice" She spat, my name was like venom on her tongue, she hung up right after leaving me to shakily make my way the the cars, I ignored everyone's stares as questions and got in the car.
I was in a car with Becky, Kat, Cheshire and Chris, and oh my god I wanted to die, Chris was belting out crappy pop songs while Cheshire just continuously told him to shut up, Kat was steeling glances at Becky when she wasn't looking. I wonder what's with them.
My mind drifted to Daniel and Shane, I don't know what to do, well, to be fair, I don't have any idea about anything any more.
My mind drifted to my mother right afterwards her words echoing in my mind, I couldn't let that happen.
"Alice you okay?" A voice asked, breaking me out of my thoughts, I looked over and saw Becky giving me a weird look, "yeah, I'm fine" I muttered, no body said anything else and the car pulled into a small café by the sea front.
Getting out I couldn't help but let the smile onto my face, everyone one of my friends sat inside the cafe laughing, without all the arguments.
Tears brimmed my eyes, I couldn't let that happen to them, they saved me, wiping my eyes I headed inside, pretending everything is fine.
Little did they know, at midnight everything they knew about me won't be able to help them, everything will fall apart.
And nothing, will be able to pick up the shattered pieces.
