~Summer~

10:25 am

"Uh, they have a big table over there or we could go to the bigger one across town if y'all want to"

Placing his hand down by his side.

The four friends sat quietly, the boy that had just spoken, sweating almost profusely because he wasn't sure what the group's answer would be and maybe he had spoken out of turn again.

"You're funny."

The group left their meeting spot and headed toward the bus stop to head to the huge park located just a few blocks away but the cool bus was calling their name and not the heated sidewalks to said park.

Ken sat at the end of the long backseat unsure of what she meant by "You're funny"

Maybe funny looking, because it just had to be an insult and he knew it.

It always was anyway.

He sulked as he grabbed an empty seat near the back door of the bus.

"mad?"

"no that's just my face."

the two laughed quietly as they looked away from each other, once their eyes met.

"I say the same thing."

The two echoed each other as they said.

Meanwhile across the table sat their two friends, smiling as they looked at each other and back at the two giggling couple.

"They don't even know, do they?"

"No, shy asses."
