I awoke on a frosty morning, snuggled up next to Sigrid and Astrid, my mother. I carefully stepped over them and navigated my way out of the dark den.
Frozen air greets my fur, making me shudder.
"You're up." The Alpha trots towards me. "Couldn't sleep." I mutter.Alpha Tyr nods. "Your sister and mother?"
"Still asleep alpha." I say before trotting away from him. "Bjorn!"I stop in my tracks and face him slowly. "Do you have a moment to speak? Or do you have other arrangements?" The old wolf raises an eyebrow, knowing full well I don't. "We may talk, Alpha." I drag my paws as I follow him.

Alpha Tyr leads me to a small hidden cliff, overlooking the dam. Kyssarokk, the place where mates mate."You're almost 24." Tyr breaks the silence. "Most are mated at twenty." "I don't want any of the unmated." I interrupt.
"Where else will you find a mate, Bjorn! You must have a mate before-" "No!" I howl before galloping away.
I don't want a dammed mate.
I have never wanted one.
Everyone else wants me to get mated.Icy winds cuts past my flanks as I gallop.
I don't look where I run. That was my mistake. If I did look maybe I wouldn't have run into their trap.
The next thing I knew I was in hole. I thought nothing of it until I tried to jump out. I can't jump high enough. What's that smell? I don't know that salty smell. Heartbeats. Uh... eight? No thirteen.Humans.
