Chapter 49

Previously on Chapter 48

What did I do to deserve this? All I did was follow my heart and fall in love, like how people normally would. So why am I being punished for it? This isn't fair...

Y/N P.O.V

It's time for dinner. So I stand up from the bed and head out, making my way towards the Dining Hall. Professor Dumbledore said he will announce the change there. So, after tonight... I won't be a Slytherin anymore.

I push the large door open and make my way towards the Slytherin table. The one who's close to me scoots away as soon as I take a seat. I just keep my head down and wait for Professor Dumbledore to announce my house shifting.

I hear the sound of glass clinking. I turn my head towards the sound, along with everyone else. I watch as Professor Dumbledore stands up from his spot. He scans through the crowd, until his eyes landed on me. He gives me curt nod before turning to everyone again.

"Due to some circumstances. There have been a change. Miss Weasley, would you kindly step forward?" He said, while looking at me. I take a deep breath and stand up. I make my way towards him and stands there. He moves to stand next to me, placing a hand on my shoulder.

"After a thorough discussion among the Professors. We have decided to fulfill Ms. Weasley's request. And thus, starting tonight, she will be shifted to a different house... she will be in Gryffindor!!" He said. I just smile softly to myself as I lower my gaze. I feel a pat on my shoulder. I turn my head to look at Professor Dumbledore. He gives me a smile.

"Thank you, Professor..." I said. He smiles and nods his head. He gestures me to join the rest of Gryffindor. I step off the small podium and make my way towards where Harry and the other two are seated. I take a seat next to Harry, who instantly wraps an arm around my shoulder.

"Welcome to Gryffindor, love..." he said. I smile softly as I place my head on his shoulder. I turn to look at Ron and Hermione, to see them smiling at me. I return their smile. I turn my head and make eye contact with Draco. I notice how sad he looks. It makes my heart ache. Even after all these... Draco is still my brother.

"Y/N?" Hermione called out. I snap out of my daze and turn to look at her. She stares at me with a worried gaze. "Are you okay?" She asked. I just give her a weak smile and nod my head.

Draco P.O.V

The announcement of Y/N being shifted to Gryffindor is a shock to everyone. Although, she have a smile. I can tell that she's hurting deep inside. She walks towards their table and take a seat next to her boyfriend. She smiles at them.

She turns around and make eye contact with me. I stare at her sadly, and she looks away not long after. Is this how it's going to be? Am I going to lose my twin little sister forever? I look down as a lone tear escape my right eye. I quickly wipe it away, before anyone notices.

Y/N P.O.V

I head back to Slytherin. Which will for be the last time. I just need to grab my stuff and get P/N. After that, I will be a Gryffindor for the rest of the years I'll be in Hogwarts. I feel sad... because it will widen the distance between my brother and I. But what else can I do? If I stay... I'll only hurt myself more.

I said the password to the Slytherin house. The portrait opens to give me access. I make my way inside and head straight to my room. P/N who's asleep instantly wakes up when I enter the room.

How did it go? She asked. I smile sadly at her and take a seat on the bed. She scoots closer to me and nudge my cheek with her snout, as tears streams down my cheeks.

"I'm officially a Gryffindor now..." I said, while gently caressing her fur. I look around the room I've spent in for the last couple of years, since the first year I got here. I bit my lips, as I start to cry softly. "Come on, P/N... there's no use to stay any longer. I would only hurt more" I said.

I grab my stuff, and gesture my pet wolf to come along. She jumps off the bed and follows me out the bedroom. I make my way to the living room and notices Draco sitting on one of the couches.

He turns to look at me when I enters the living room. We just stares at each other for a few seconds. My heart aches painfully in my chest at the sight of my beloved brother. I look away from him, trying not to make it harder for the two of us.

"Goodbye, Draco..." I said. I start to walk towards the entrance. But before I could leave the house. I hear rapid footsteps behind me, and feel a pair of arms around me as Draco pulls me into an embrace. I feel my shirt start to get wet from his tears. I look down as my own tears starts to stream down my cheeks.

"You will always be my little sister, no matter what..." he said, in a hushed voice. I drop my trunk and turns around in his arms, wrapping my arms around his torso. I bury my face in his chest as I start to cry harder.

"And you will always be the best brother" I said. He sob into my hair as he runs his hand through my h/c hair. I hug him tightly, because I don't know if we can be this close after this.

I pull away from the hug and wipe my tears. "Take care, Y/N... I love you, sis" he said. He leans down and place a soft kiss on my forehead. I give him a weak smile and a soft kiss on his cheek.

"I love you too, brother..." I said. I reach down and grab my trunk. I turn around and walk towards the entrance. I turn to look at Draco one last time. We smile sadly at one another. He gives me a weak wave, and I do the same. I turn around and walks out of Slytherin.

Time-skip

Harry have told me the password to Gryffindor, so I can enter the common room. I walk towards the living room to see Harry, Hermione and Ron. They turn their heads to look at me.

"Y/N..." Harry said, standing up. I take one look at him, before bursting into tears. I drop on my knees as I start to cry harder. Harry rushes over to me and kneels down. He pulls me into his embrace. Hermione and Ron rushes to my side as well, as the three of them try their best to give me comfort. I just close my eyes as I cry silently in their embraces.
