Chapter 12

My eyes met Harry's from across the room. He offers me a smile. But I just glare at him and turns my head away. I can see how his smile faded when he sees my reaction. But couldn't care less. He hurts me... they all did.

-Return to Hogwarts-

Y/N P.O.V

Today will be our second year in Hogwarts. So Draco and I will be leaving for Hogwarts in a few minutes. I have packed all my belongings few nights before, so I am all ready to go.

I'm just making sure I have everything I need, just to be sure that I won't leave anything behind. "Y/N!! Are you ready? You're going to miss your train!" I hear Draco calls out. "Coming!!" I yelled. I take a quick look around and nod to myself once I'm sure I left nothing behind. I grab my luggage and walks out of my room.

Our parents drop us off at the train station. I give them a quick hug, then quickly enter the train. I follow my brother as he walks ahead of me towards a compartment room.

He sits down and I take a seat next to him. He gave me the seat close to the window because he knows how much I love to watch the scenery. I lean my head against the window and stare out. Soon the train starts to move.

I watch in silence, until my eyes starts to feel a little heavy. I didn't get enough sleep last night. So I just close my eyes and let myself drift off to sleep.

Time-skip

I walk inside the dining hall with my brother, Goyle and Crabbe. I sit down next to my brother. I just eat in silence. Then I hear flapping sounds. I look up to see owls.

One specific owl that I recognize as Ron's family's landed in front of her. He holds it up and I can see it's a howler.

'What did he do this time?' I thought to myself. Wait, why do I even care? It's not like they're my friends. They're a bunch of backstabbers. So I shouldn't be caring at all.

I just watch in silence as the letter starts to yell at Ron, then sweet talk to a girl I didn't know. She's probably new to Hogwarts, and judging by the way she looks. She must be Ron's sister. Okay, Y/N... you need to stop thinking about those fake people.

Harry's eyes met mine. He smiles at me and wave. I just scoff and look away. I want nothing to do with them and I'm going to avoid them as best I could.

Harry P.O.V

My smile faded when I see her looking away. "Looks like she's still upset with us..." I said. "What did we do? I don't get it... everything was okay..." Ron said. "We were studying together the night before her sudden change..." Hermione said. I turn to look at her.

"Do you notice anything different from the way she was acting?" I asked. She thinks about it and shakes her head. "No... not at all. She was acting cheerful that day. After our study session is over... we went separate ways to head back to our houses. She has not been the same ever since..." she said.

I nod my head, after letting what she said sink in. "So... in conclusion. Something must have happened to her at the Slytherin house..." I said. She nods her head, still thinking about it.

"Maybe... but we can't be so sure about that. Not as long as she refuse to tell us what's wrong" she said, shrugging her shoulders. I let out a sigh and nod my head, knowing what Hermione said is true. But how do we even her to talk to us, when she even refused to look at us.

After Dinner

Y/N P.O.V

I make my way to the pet section area, to visit my pet wolf. I enter the room and head towards where P/N is. I open the cage and steps inside.

She instantly jumps on me and starts licking my face repeatedly. I giggle and caress her fur softly. "Okayy, P/N... that's enough..." I said. She stops and place her head on my lap. Something she always do to show her love for me. She loves to snuggle up to me.

Why did you take so long to visit me? She said. "I'm sorry... a lot of things had happened..." I said. You seem in trouble... do you wanna talk about it? She said. I shake my head, while giving her a small smile. "No... I'd rather not. I don't wanna recall the painful events..." I said. Okay... you don't have to talk then. Just remember I'll always be here with you... she said. I smile and place a soft kiss on her snout. "I know... thanks..." I said.

I take a glance at the window in the room. "It's dark outside... I need to head back..." I said. I can hear P/N whining softly, clearly showing that she didn't want me to leave. I smile and pat her head. "Don't worry... I'll come and visit you again..." I said. You promise? She said. "I promise... cross my heart... and hope to die" I said, crossing my heart. She gives me a wolfy grin. I stand up and head back to the Slytherin house.

I said the password and enter the house. My brother is sitting on the couch. He looks up when he sees me. "Where have you been?" He asked. "Visiting my wolf friend..." I said, shrugging as I sit down next to him on the couch.

"Even until now... I still don't get why you'd choose a wolf as a pet instead. When the first few months you have been talking about wanting an owl..." he said. I shrug my shoulders. "Things change... what do you expect? Even those trio change too. Okay... I'm tired. I'm heading to bed. Byee" I said. I stand up and leave without giving him a chance to speak. I don't wanna talk about it.
