Unwell

I grab the bottle of water next to me and toss it. I watch the water slosh around, forcing the bottle to fall over as it flips around the air. The ground beneath me shakes and throws me off the couch. "OH- OW!" I rub my head as I sit up. I see my dad rush into the living room. I sigh and he helps me up. "What was that?" "I'm not sure, Leo" the light flowing in through the windows flickers across my eyes causing them to strain as I look at my dad. I sit back on the comfortable couch making enough room for my dad to sit next to me. "How was school, turtle?" "It was fine, dad" he grabs my hand and looks at me "I'm just trying to help you, pumpkin" "I know dad" I sigh as the words come out "I know you just want to help but I'm just" my words are suddenly cut off by a loud thud and bright teal light. The light flickers into my eyes causing them to abruptly shut. The light has left, I think, and I open my eyes. "Dad?" "I'm right here" "what just happened?" "I'm not sure..." I scan the room and see shards of broken glass throw across the carpet, the kitchen appliances in the next room are glitching and car alarms beep loudly, invading my ears. My brain goes into a state of panic as I realize what just happened. I stand up and rush to grab my phone as glass impales my feet and the carpet fills with blood. I wince and stumble across the carpet towards my phone. I grab the phone and immediately call my mom. "MOM? MOM! Are-are you okay?" "I'm fine honey, are you alright?" I look at my feet. "I've been better" "I'm coming home right now, sweetie!" I sigh and drop my phone. "TERRANCE?" "YEAH IM FINE!" I sigh and my dad grabs my legs. "Stay still, Leo" I nod and rest my head on the edge of the couch.
