The streets are so empty yet so full. Full of memories. Full of blood. Full of terror. I fiddle with my fingers as I walk down the red stained sidewalk. Looks like a scene straight out a horror movie. The metal scent fills my nose and it burns. My brain takes in the sights and I spot a house.it's bright yellow and has gnomes in front. What a fun little house. I decide to walk inside, being careful not to step on any of the fallen over gnomes. The door creaks open and I step on the "Welcome" mat. "Thank you, Welcome mat" I Mutter. As I creak open the door I hear scuttling around upstairs. I quickly detach a knife from my belt and hold it at the ready. The stairs cream under the weight of my body as I slowly climb up, gripping the knife with all my might. I hear more scuttling coming from the bedroom and open up the door. As I grab the handle a small meow comes from the other side of the door. I losen my grip and open the door. There I spot a small kitten running around on the pink carpet. "Hi little kitty..." the cat brushes against my hand. "Hi little friend, are your owners dead?" I grab the kitten and pet it. I smile. Probably the first smile I've let out since this has started. "Hmmm... what do you want your name to be?" The cat tilted it's head to the side and meowed quietly. "The about Vampy? Y'know, since you have black fur..." the cat blinked at me and meowed. "I guess you like it." I place the kitten on my shoulder and walk down the stairs looking for its bowls, food, and toys. I grab some of everything and raid a small jar of money, just in case. "Come on Vampy, let's see how long we can survive." And we starts out the door
