The Heck is that?

I slowly creep out the house, down the steps. I gently side step to hide behind the bushes and look at those monsters in the yard. A girl and her mom walk past and the creature immediately snatch up them both, blowing onto their faces then he shoves the girl in her mouth. I watch, my mouth agape as blood trickles down its chin onto the sidewalk. The sound of dripping seems to be so much louder than my thoughts. I hold my stomach as the girls legs disappear into it's mouth, and she is gone. My stomach churns as I watch in horror. Damn thing didn't even spit her clothes or bones out. The creature next to it seems to let out a sort of gargling noise and the first creature reluctantly hands the older women to the one next to it. It begins its feast, starting with her head becoming fully separated from her body. The crunch of her skull sends shivers down my spine. What. The. Hell. These things are... demons. I glance over at the first one, trying to hold in my disgust. It has wiped away the blood on its chin with its lanky, boney fingers. I stare at it, as the large lump in its throat, probably from the girl, vanishes, not leaving a trace of the girl ever being alive. It turns it's head toward me and begins walking slowly in my direction. I quickly drop down and begin breathing heavily. I close my eyes shut tightly as it's footsteps stop directly behind me. I hold my breath, praying that it didn't see me. It begins panting heavily and it's drool drops next to me. It's footstep receded after what seemed to be hours. I quickly scramble inside and lock the door shut. I catch my breath and peek out the window. Has it...Left? I look over at the sofa and... is that... blood? Drops of blood have stained the carpet and a blood trail leads up the stairs. I quickly but quietly sprint to the kitchen and grab all the knives I can hold. I step up the creaking stairs and hear that sickening, gut wrenching crunching noise. I peek into my parents room and see it. My mothers body half in one of those... things mouth. I can't believe you hat I'm seeing. Tears fall down my face as I stare in shock and horror. I need to check on my brother. I grab and vase next to me and throw it inside the bathroom, distracting the monster just long enough to run to my brothers room and spot a large pool of blood on his bed. My mom. My dad. My brother. All... dead. The only thing that I can see through the pool of blood my anguish. Through my moment of ignorance I drop my knives. The loud clattering alerts the creature of my position and I quickly scramble inside the closet, quickly grabbing a knife before I shut the doors. My eyes peer through the closet doors and I scan the demon. It's blood red pupils scan the room and and stops at the knives. It sniffs the area aggressively and slowly backs out leaving me alone. My eyes water as my brain realizes that this thing. This damn thing killed everyone I love. I start back down to the kitchen and find the soda that I never got to thank my mom for. That I didn't get to share with her. I grab it all stuffing it in my empty backpack next to the kitchen counter. I grab anything sharp I can find, water, and copious amounts of food. As I start walking out the door I see a faint glimmer next to the couch. My dad's ring. I grab it and examine it. It's on an old necklace and on it engraved it my infinite love for you - Maria . Placing it around my neck, the chains of the necklace seem to weigh into my collar bone. I grip the bag - holding all my worldly possessions - tightly and start out the door.
