One thing about Caston is that he hates dirt. He's not proper or polite. He sure as hell doesn't pride himself in manners. But he fucking hates dirt.
And here he is, on his hands and knees in fucking dirt. He can feel it under his fingernails and in his socks. Kids were screaming at him and he suddenly felt red.
"Come on, Cas! Jax is crushing you!"
"I wish something would fucking crush me." Caston mumbled, glaring at the dirt. He shuffled across the ground and under yet another wooden beam.
"Fuck!" He groaned as he hit his back on the last beam. He stood up as he finally cleared them all. "Someone is going to fucking die! Why am I the one doing this!?"
"You lost the coin toss, Cas. Loser does the obstacle course, winner-"
"Winner shuts his fucking mouth or I'll fill it with dirt." Caston glared at Malachi and harshly dusted his jeans off.
"Mr. Caston why are you wearing jeans? You could do better if you weren't." Aaron, a small red headed boy in Hill House (who over the last day had taken an annoying liking to Caston), asked.
"Shorts are for twinks, whores, and people who want to fall victim to poison ivy." Caston said, bending down slightly.
"Mr. Caston what's a twi-"
"Okay! I think Mr. Caston needs to finish his obstacle course because Jax is already onto the next section." Malachi said loudly. Caston opened his mouth to retaliate, but Malachi cut him off, "Cas, go. Now."
Caston rolled his eyes and begrudgingly walked over to the wall. He looked back at Malachi. "Are you fucking serious?"
"Scale the damn wall, Cas. We're in last place." Malachi sighed. He and the members of Hill House walked along side the obstacle course, some of the kids shouting encouraging words at Caston.
Caston grabbed the rope and climbed up the wall quickly, then jumped off on the other side. He heard the kids cheering (Aaron had yelled "And in jeans too! Way to go, Mr. Caston!").
The next obstacle had Caston staring down at a mud pit and carefully walking across raised wooden cylinders. Aaron might have had a point about his jeans hindering his ability to perform, but he wasn't going to admit that. Especially not to that pasty cheese puff.
The last two pillars were a bit farther apart than the rest of them, making Caston hesitate.
"Come on, Cas! Jax is catching back up! Just one more after this!"
"Yeah! Thanks! Not helping!" Caston huffed, staring down at the mud. He held his arms out slightly and inched closer to the edge of the wood he was balancing on. Curse his fashionably sexy, yet obnoxiously large boots.
He took a breath and stretched his leg across. He jumped immediately from the last wooden pillar and back to the safety of the ground, relieved that he didn't end up neck deep in the mud.
Despite wanting to collapse onto the ground (and maybe kick Aaron on the way down), he ran to the last obstacle.
"Oh fuck me." Caston huffed, placing his hands on his hips.
"Cas, go! Jax fell in the mud!" Malachi yelled, backed by the rest of Hill House.
"I am not doing that!" Caston yelled back.
"Stop being such a priss!"
"Stop insulting me like I'm a girl in a 2000s movie!"
"I will when you stop acting like one!" Malachi crossed his arms.
"These clothes are expensive. I have shit in my pockets. I am not fucking swimming in.. that." Caston gestured to the large inflatable pool that was filled with soapy, colored water.
"Then take your clothes off, idiot! Don't make us lose!" Aaron shouted.
"Alright, calm down, cheese puff." Caston said, then promptly removed his clothes. He threw them at Malachi, who froze as the first article smacked him in the face.
Once he was down to his underwear, Caston jumped into the water and swam across, cringing as he felt objects hit his feet.
"Ew what the fuck is in here!?" Caston stood up and stared down at the water like it had done something horrible to him.
"The board outside of the pool tells you." Malachi said, walking closer to the pool. He now had Caston's clothes thrown over his shoulder.
"Okay. Yeah. What's on it?" Caston asked.
"Did you not read it? Its part of the game, Cas." Malachi chuckled.
"Oh just fucking tell me. I want to get out of here. There are things touching my feet." Caston sighed.
"Yeah, those are plastic balls. You need to find the one with our cabin number on it."
"Are you fucking kidding me?" Caston huffed, throwing his head back. He sighed loudly and then bent down and started grabbing and releasing the plastic balls. "What does this get us again?"
"Bragging rights." Malachi said.
Caston froze and turned to him, glaring.
"Kidding. We get pizza and ice cream sandwiches." Malachi said.
"Oh joy!" Caston fake smiled, then rolled his eyes and resumed looking through the pink and soapy ball-filled water.
A few minutes later, Jax had joined Caston and Eve, adding murk to the pink water.
Caston finally pulled a red ball out of the water and saw 114 sharpied on. He waded through the water and hopped out, handing the soapy ball to an expecting James.
"Congratulations Hill House! You have won the first competition of the summer!" Hames announced.
The kids around Malachi cheered and jumped around. He smiled at them and walked over to Caston. "We won."
"I heard. Bet tubby is excited." Caston said, accepting a towel from James and wiping the pink suds off of his body.
Malachi rolled his eyes. "He's not even that chubby, Cas."
Caston shrugged. "Be glad that water didn't get in my hair or I would've pulled you in with me."
"All it would've done is wash that hair dye out. At the least, you would've been down a shade." Malachi chuckled.
"The fuck are you talking about? This is my natural hair color." Caston said, still wiping his skin with the scratchy towel.
Malachi exhaled a laugh. "Sure it is."
"Mal, you've swam with me before. You've seen me sweaty. I don't drip fucking hair dye, do I?" Caston grabbed his shirt from Malachi's shoulder and tugged it on.
"Huh...guess not."
"You really thought it was fake?" Caston asked, stepping into his jeans.
Malachi shrugged. "It's just...so black I kind of assumed, yeah."
"Ohhh I get it. I'm just so beautiful that you couldn't even fathom the thought of me being real." Caston smirked.
"In your dreams, Cassy." Malachi placed his hand on Caston's face and pushed him away
Caston inched closer to Malachi. "I won't have to dream if you-"
"Hey! Let's all thank Mr. Caston for helping us win today!" Malachi shouted, turning to the kids.
"Thanks Mr. Caston!" The kids chorused. A small boy with blond hair ran up and hugged Caston's legs.
"Oh..okay. Yeah. Don't do that." Caston placed his hand atop the boy's head and pushed him away.
Malachi pressed his lips together, suppressing a laugh. Caston glared at him and shuffled away from the kids.
"Why did they have to color the water too? Was the soap not enough? Nearly dyed me fucking pink." Caston huffed, looking at the pink dye under his fingernails.
"Did you have to take off your clothes to get in the water? Nearly blinded the fucking kids."
"Oh did my nudity scare the children? Or... did it bother you?" Caston smirked, leaning closer to Malachi and making their shoulders bump together.
"Obviously it bothered me. You're hot as fuck and you were wet." Malachi threw an arm around Castons shoulders and leaned down to his ear. "And I fucking love the little half-up thing you have going on with your hair."
"Oh yeah? Prove it."
"I'd love to, but we have fifteen kids to look after and we can't exactly sneak off to a dark place and bang one out."
"And why the hell not?"
"I just told you why, Cas. Do you not listen?" Malachi sighed. "See those kids in orange t-shirts walking in front of us? They're our responsibility. If we leave for even five minutes, people will know."
"I only need two."
Malachi pushed Caston to the side, making him groan and almost lose his footing.
The kids and counselors settled into the dining hall, where loud talking ensued.
Caston nudged Malachi harshly, making the latter turn to him with furrowed eyebrows.
"What?"
"Everyone's busy."
"Cas, lunch doesn't excuse us from our responsibility-"
"Oh mother of fucking Christ, Malachi." Caston exhaled sharply. He grabbed Malachi's wrist and drug him out of the dining hall.
"Cas, we can't just leave we won the first competition, everyone is going to be-"
"I don't fucking care."
"Well I do."
"Oh I'm sorry. Did you say something? I can't hear you over the sound of you taking your clothes off." Caston said, closing the cabin door.
Malachi sighed and crossed his arms. "Cas-"
"If you don't fuck me right now I will kill one of our little campers and make it look like an accident." Caston exhaled shakily.
"Well since you asked so nicely." Malachi rolled his eyes.
"And you still have your clothes on why?"
"For fuck's sake, Cas. Calm down." Malachi chuckled, tugging his shirt over his head.
"I am perfectly calm. You are just way too slow for my-"
Malachi lunged forward and kissed Caston roughly. He grabbed the back of his hair, undoing his ponytail in the process. They only parted so Malachi could pulled Caston's shirt off. He held his sides tightly and pulled him closer, tucking his fingers beneath the waistband of Caston's underwear.
They stumbled across the cabin and into the other room. Malachi threw Caston onto one of the beds, the cheap mattress creaking beneath him. He stepped out of his shorts, then jerked Caston's jeans down his legs.
A few loud, sweaty minutes later, Malachi was quickly tugging his clothes back on and panting. "That was not two minutes, you liar."
"You took too long to agree. If you would've taken me when I asked, we'd be eating lunch already." Caston shrugged.
Malachi rolled his eyes and put a hat over his sweaty hair. "Get dressed. I'm heading back first."
Caston took his time putting clothes on and then walked slowly across the grounds to the dining hall.
"Mr. Caston, I saved you a seat!" Aaron said, standing up halfway.
"Oh lovely. Hopefully you saved me some food as well." Caston said, reluctantly taking his seat next to Aaron. Luckily it was at the end of the bench, so he could easily scoot to the edge and avoid touching the kid.
"Malachi, what are we doing after lunch?" Aaron asked, using his sauce covered hands to pick up his half-eaten slice of pizza.
Caston cringed as he watched him rip a piece off and then chew it obnoxiously.
"We have archery at one." Malachi answered.
"Why am I Mr. Caston and you're just Malachi?" Caston asked as they descended the hill to the archery range.
"I think it's because they're scared of you." Malachi chuckled. "I'm like their big brother."
Caston scoffed. "They can be scared of me and not address me like I'm fifty years old."
"Then tell them."
"No way. I'm not taking that authority away from myself. First it's Caston, then it's Cas, next thing you know I'm waking up to a face full of shaving cream and those little fuckers thinking they can get away with it."
"If you like the authority, then why did you even bring it up?"
"I was just wondering why they didn't also address you as an authority figure, but I guess it's because they don't respect you." Caston smirked.
Malachi rolled his eyes. "You're helpless."
"Chi, my man! I don't believe you've formally introduced us to your friend here." Jax said, throwing an arm around Malachi's shoulders.
"Oh, right...um..Jax, this is..Caston. Caston, Jax and Eric. My teammates. Football." Malachi cleared his throat.
"Caston, huh? You must be the one who whoops Malachi's ass every time you pick up a controller." Jax released an awkward looking Malachi from his grasp.
"That how you'll continue to identify him?" Caston asked.
"Well, he doesn't have any other identifiable qualities." Eric shrugged.
Jax laughed and clapped him on the shoulder.
"So is your team just four people? Do you play in the back yard until you're called for dinner?" Caston asked.
"Damn! You're feisty, aren't you?" Jax chuckled, eyeing Caston intently. "We have forty official teammates on rotation, but only JV and Varsity, that's us, comes to camp."
Caston nodded like he understood what Jax was talking about. "Cool. Where's everyone else then?"
"They're getting set up for archery." Jax turned to face the open field. "Yo! Guys, round up!"
A large group of guys, who seemed to be the same age as Caston, but more physically fit, ran up and stopped beside Jax.
"This is Malachi's secret new best friend... Carson?"
He glared at Jax. "Caston."
"Right. Caston. Here's the rest of the team. Well, the ones that matter. Jay, Micah, Sam, Alden, Eric, Caleb, Roman, Seth, and Noah." Jax said quickly, pointing to the faces that owned the names.
"Holy shit. I'm just one guy and you couldn't even remember my fucking name. You expect me to absorb all of that shit?" Caston raised a brow.
"Well we're not gonna sit here and say our names and a little fact about ourselves like a bunch of kindergarteners. Unless you want to." Jax crossed his arms.
"Absolutely fucking not." Caston mumbled, then brushed past the beefy guys.
Puncturing a target with a sharp arrow suddenly sounded very intriguing.
"Mr. Caston, are you going to do archery with us?" Aaron asked, already holding a small wooden bow.
"You bet your pasty orange ass I am." Caston said, accepting a larger bow from one of the staff members. They all seemed to be professional archers, as they were wearing all the gear and seemed to have brought a lot of the archery items with them.
"Have you ever shot a bow and arrow before?" The dark skinned woman asked him.
"No. I feel good about it, though."
She laughed and walked around the table and stopped beside Caston. She explained what he had to do and Caston felt like she touched him a lot more than was necessary.
He's not stupid. He knows when someone is flirting with him. And if he wasn't confident in the fact that he is very gay, he would probably hook up with her. He still might.
She stepped to the side and Caston lined up with the target and quickly released the arrow. It flew across the field and straight into the middle target.
"Nice! Your form was beautiful!" The pretty instructor said.
"Thank you. Can I go again?" Caston asked, turning to look at her over his shoulder. He really liked how it felt.
She got him more arrows and a few bullseyes later, Malachi appeared at his side.
"Done bro-ing it up with your meat head friends?" Caston asked, pulling the string back and flawlessly releasing another arrow into the target.
"Done showing off and being an asshole?" Malachi retaliated.
Caston put the bow down and turned to face him. "The fuck do you mean?"
"I mean you're clearly putting on a show with your little never-miss-the-target act and you just walked away from my friends when they were trying to get to know you." Malachi sighed.
"Oh that was them trying? Damn, they suck."
"They barely even talked, Cas."
"I heard more than enough from Jax." Caston faced the targets again and shot his last arrow. "I'm thirsty. Ima go get water."
Caston walked over to the cooler and grabbed a water out of the ice. When he turned around he was way closer to Jax than he would've liked to be.
"For fuck's sake." Caston sighed, rolling his eyes. He unscrewed the lid and chugged the water, stepping away from Jax.
"You constantly have a stick up your ass?"
"Usually. Not really an insult, though. It feels good." Caston said casually.
Jax laughed. "What?"
"What? I thought you asked if I have a dick up my ass."
"Um...no. I said stick. You know..the popular saying."
"Oh. Right. My bad. Yeah, probably that too. But mainly just dick." Caston shrugged.
"Well you're...straightforward." Jax exhaled a laugh. "And gay apparently?"
"I did say I like having dick up my ass and last I checked, that makes me pretty gay, yeah." Caston took another long drink.
Jax nodded wordlessly. "You don't look gay."
"Right. Because sexuality presents itself outwardly like fucking melanin. People don't look gay, you asswipe." Caston rolled his eyes and chugged more water before starting to walk away. He turned around, now walking backwards. "You smell like axe body spray and ass, by the way."
"Is that your way of hitting on me?"
"Please. You wouldn't be standing if I was hitting on you." Caston turned back around to walk properly and rejoined Malachi, who was being coached by the pretty instructor.
"Seems like you and Jax are getting along." Malachi said, lining up his arrow slowly.
"Mhm. Sure."
"You're doing that thing where you're not actually listening to me, aren't you?"
"Mm." Caston stared blankly at the target, waiting for Malachi's arrow to hit it.
"Mr. Caston, you missed it I shot one!" Aaron ran up and grabbed Caston's hand.
"Ahh shame- oh okay, this is a thing we're doing." Caston shot a look at a laughing Malachi and reluctantly walked after Aaron, who was talking excitedly.
After watching the pasty redhead shoot a few arrows into a target and mumbling things like "cool" "mhm" and "nice," Caston came up with an excuse and left quickly.
He went back to the cabin and laid back on his bed, exhaling a sigh of relief as he was finally alone. Every time he turned around there was a kid or a game or a person he didn't know introducing themselves. It was overwhelming. He needs sex.
Caston looked over at the clock on the wall.
1:37
He sighed and threw his arm over his eyes. It's only been a day and he's already bored and tired of not being able to hook up with hot strangers. He thought nothing would stop him from finding a cute boy at camp and fucking in the showers on the first day, but that was proven rather difficult when half the camp ended up being children and the other half seems unapproachable and maybe like they haven't figured themselves out yet.
Caston kicked his leg that was hanging off of the bed, feeling his boot scrape the wooden floor. He sighed again and used his left hand to undo his belt and then the button on his jeans.
As if God or Satan or whomever had it out for Caston was watching over, the cabin door swung open.
"Cas, we have to take the kids to the lake." Malachi said.
"Can't you see I'm busy?" Caston said, lifting his hips and tucking his thumb into the waistband of his jeans.
"Oh! Very funny, Cas! Haha! Let's go!" Malachi said over-enthusiastically.
Caston moved his arm and sat his head up, seeing the group of annoying miniature humans in orange t-shirts. He reluctantly got up and re-did his button and belt.
"Really?" Malachi raised his eyebrows as the kids started filing out.
"I'm bored." Caston shrugged. "And we've only had sex once since we got here."
"Cas, we just got here yesterday."
"And if we were home, I'd have had you six times by now. We're way behind, Mal."
"My apologies, sir Caston. Let me just step away from the fifteen kids we're in charge of to bang one out in an inappropriate place."
"That's literally all I want." Caston exhaled.
"Maybe after we're more settled in." Malachi gave Caston a pat on the shoulder, then followed the kids out of the cabin. "Everyone have their swim suits and towels!?"
"Yes!" The kids chorused, making Caston cringe.
"Mr. Caston, are you going to swim in the lake with us?" Aaron asked, slowing down to walk next to the black haired boy.
"Ew no. I don't know what's in that lake. Could be glass or leeches or-"
"Cas. Stop. The lake is fine." Malachi said, giving him a warning look.
"Right, sorry." He looked down at Aaron. "I was joking. Um..lakes are..clean. I can't swim."
"I can teach you!" Aaron grabbed Caston's hand and pulled him along to the lake. Like every other time he did that, Caston shot a help me look at Malachi.
Caston doesn't know how he was convinced to get in the water. Alright, that's a lie. The second Malachi took his shirt off, Caston wasn't able to look anywhere else. And then he got in the lake and flicked his hair out of his face. The sun hit his dripping skin and Caston wanted to be as close to him as possible.
So he pretended to be interested in Aaron, stripped out of his clothes, and--against his better judgement--jumped into the lake with the screaming children.
"Mr. Caston, I thought you couldn't swim?" Taj, a small brown skinned boy with long hair, tilted his head at caston.
"Mr. Caston is a liar." Malachi smirked. "I taught him how to swim."
"Did you really!?" Jax appeared out of nowhere. "He's a grown man, no way he didn't know how to swim. He was probably just trying to get in your pants."
Malachi furrowed his eyebrows at Caston, then turned to Jax. "What do you mean?"
"Because he's gay. He probably just wanted to see you shirtless and wet..like you are right now. Careful, Chi, he's gonna turn you."
Malachi rolled his eyes and swam over to the kids that were farther out in the lake.
"Are you twelve?" Caston asked.
"At heart." Jax placed a hand on his chest.
"I was wondering who you were talking to. So, have the kids warmed your cold dead heart yet?" Noah asked Caston with a smile.
"No. If anything I'm more hostile than ever." Caston said monotonously.
Noah laughed and jumped into the lake, splashing Caston with water.
"Yo, I was trying not to get my hair wet, fuckface." Caston huffed, wiping his face and tightening his ponytail.
Noah made a face. "Sorry. Looks like your eyeliner is running too." He winked," Don't worry, it looks sexy."
Caston rolled his eyes, but smirked subtly and turned towards Malachi. "Did you hear that, Malachi? Noah says I look sexy."
"Oh really?" Malachi eyed him up and down. "I don't see it."
Jax laughed from behind him and Caston heard him get into the water just before an arm was thrown around his shoulders. Jax clicked his tongue. "Guess he's not into you."
Caston wanted to laugh and tell him just how erong he was, but he has no desire to make life miserable for Malachi and outing him to Jax seems like it would do just that. So he just leaned closer to Jax and smirked. "Seems like you are, though."
Jax immediately withdrew his arm, making Caston laugh and swim away, Aaron in tow.
The rest of Jax's cabin, Forest House, eventually joined them at the lake and the environment was far from peaceful. Fun and memorable, sure. But definitely not relaxing.
Malachi saw to making sure all of Hill House had towels and shoes as soon as they got out of the water. He then lined them up and did a head count before leading them to the dining hall.
They sat on their towels and shoveled food into their mouths, that they inevitably talked around. Caston watched Malachi intently, partially because of how beautiful he looked and partially because he was clearly sulking.
He brushed it off and ate his dinner, missing the pizza they had for lunch because the food was absolute ass.
Once Malachi and the small, and now clean, boys came back from the showers, the lights were turned out and the door that separated their room from Malachi's and Caston's was closed and locked.
"That took fucking forever." Caston said, grabbing Malachi's waist from behind. He wanted to be rough and demanding, but he was tired and hoped Malachi would just fuck him to sleep.
Malachi slid out of his grasp. "Yeah. Lots of kids. Boys. They take a while."
"I'm sure it was exhausting." Caston's hands were back on Malachi's waist, the two boys now facing each other.
Malachi sighed and pushed Caston's hands off. "Cas, I'm not in the mood. I'm really tired. I'm just gonna go to bed."
Malachi walked over and tucked himself under the blankets, leaving Caston standing frozen in the middle of the room.
He spent the next few hours tossing and turning and trying not to think about how Malachi was just feet away from him. He eventually fell asleep and then woke up to his alarm. He quickly shut it off so it wouldn't wake anyone up and then rolled out of bed.
He gathered his things and quietly left for the showers. He would've rather been skinned alive and forced to eat it than shower with fifteen children around. He never knows if he's gonna want to jack off. And even if he doesn't, who the fuck wants to look after fifteen boys with soap and water at their disposal?
The second he was engulfed in hot water, his muscles felt relaxed. The last two days put a lifetime of stress on his back and if he didn't already know it before, this would've made him realize that he does not want kids.
His hair was washed and sticking to the back of his neck. Just seconds after he started washing his body, the door opened.
"Oh shit, my bad. I didn't think anyone else was in here." James said, seeming unphased by Caston's nudity.
"Did you wake up early in the hopes of showering alone too?" Caston chuckled.
James nodded and hung his towel up, then removed his robe. "I'm not complaining, though."
Caston raised a brow. He barely blinked and James was kissing him under the hot water. It felt good. Here he was again in a new circumstance with a new person. His blood felt electric.
His hands were holding James's face, his facial hair a nice feeling under Caston's fingers. Hands were on his waist and soon his back was against the tile wall. James tugged on his long hair, making Caston's sounds echo off of the walls.
The water felt like lava and his insides felt like tv static. He scratched at James's skin and let his head lean back against the tile. As soon as Caston was on the ground, they both finished their showers and left without a word.
"Where'd you go?" Malachi asked, sitting up in bed and rubbing his face.
"Shower."
"Why didn't you shower last night like everyone else?"
"If I did, I wouldn't have run into James." Caston smirked.
"Did you hook up with James?" Malachi asked slowly, moving to sit on the edge of the bed.
"Yeah. Have you seen him? He's hot."
Malachi looked from the floor to Caston. "I thought...we had something..going on."
"We do. You know I don't do relationships. I fuck who I wanna fuck. I'm not tied down to you." Caston shrugged.
"Right. My bad for thinking I was different." Malachi stood up, laughing humorlessly.
"That's the thing..you are. I don't want to like..lose you. I want you...around." Caston said carefully.
"For sex?" Malachi crossed his arms.
"Well, yeah, but like..other stuff too." Caston held his hand out, motioning lamely to nothing.
"Like what? Please tell. I'm listening. What ever do you want me around for?" Malachi tightened his arms across his chest.
"For like...stuff"
"Mhm. That's what I thought. Let me know when you want more than sex."
"I'll never want more than sex, Malachi! It's all I want! Unless you want me to kill you? That's on the table if you're down."
"Oh please you wouldn't kill me." Malachi rolled his eyes.
"What makes you so sure?"
Malachi stared at him and stepped forward. "I don't know. I just am. I know you won't kill me. I know you won't hurt me on purpose."
Caston looked from the floor and back up to Malachi's gentle expression. He took a breath. "What if I hurt you on accident?"
"Then we'll heal together." Malachi smiled.
"Gross. I'll leave you to suffer and die if you say shit like that." Caston cringed, leaning back slightly.
Malachi laughed and pulled Caston closer so their foreheads were pressed together. "You could've."
"What?"
"You could've hurt me or killed me. You've had opportunities. But you haven't. You don't look at me the way you look at other people. I've never been scared of you. Weirded out maybe. But never scared. I have never worried about you hurting me. Ever. Because I think you're scared of how you might feel if you did."
