I let out a silent groan, running a finger on the tip of my nose to control my temper.

Why is this boy so stupid?

"Sanballat! Shey you deaf ni?!"

I look up to see the boy walk-in no leap towards where we were standing which was in front of the school hall.

"My name is not Sanballat." the boy said glaring at Akeju.

"Shey na me you dey follow talk?" Akeju asked getting into the boy's face, more like leaning into the boy's face since he was way taller than the boy.

I watch the boy cower back in fear. None of the prefects said anything or they more like pretended that wasn't happening.

Cowards!

How did he even became a prefect?

Evans stepped in anyway, pulling him away from the poor guy.

"Let go of me jor!" he flings Evans hand off his shoulder but he only ignored him before turning to the shorter boy.

"Tobias... You are late"

"I am so sorry. I had to get the keys" Evans nodded while we wait for him to open the door.

You must be guessing why on earth would Akeju be calling the guy Sanballat . Well, it has to do with his name.

He earned the nickname from Akeju because of the biblical story of Nehemiah rebuilding the wall of Jerusalem and how Tobiah and Sanballat opposed him greatly. As soon as we learnt this story in Jss3 during CRS class, Akeju had started calling him that.

You don't think a person like Akeju would go through the Bible or do you? I don't think he even knows were the book of Genesis is not to talk of the book of Nehemiah.

Even though it had been stated by the CRS teacher that Tobiah is different from Tobias. He still won't listen...

To make everything worse.... Tobias is the chapel prefect making him in charge of the school morning devotion. How can students take him serious when his name sake was against God's people in the Bible?

The funny thing was a guy like Akeju who bears that type of name finds it cool in making fun of other people's name.

We all settled down in the hall,i leaned against one of the windows refusing to seat because i needed the fresh air and maybe or maybe not get a glimpse of Omotolani since i am having a good view of her class from here.

Evans and Theresa stood before us, they were the one anchoring this meeting.

Evans called an impromptu meeting this morning and i am sure it had something to do with the girl who died few days ago.

A Ss2 girl who died of abortion.

How did she come about it? And why is the school acting so calm about this whole issue?

Who is responsible- no who was responsible for the pregnancy?

Who gave her the pills?

"....believe we all know why we are here. Few days ago, a student of our school was found bleeding profusely in her room by my colleague" he points at Theresa "and her friend. We both met with the school board yesterday and we discussed at length on the issue"

"Currently, investigation are ongoing on what happened to the girl-"

"We all know what happened to the girl. She died because she decided to swallow some abortion pills" the obnoxious voice which belonged to one particular person interrupted Theresa but she went on acting as if he never said anything.
