"If i finish my food before you, i am taking yours" i declared causing Ejiro to glare at me, using his right hand to protect the side of his plate which was filled with peppered spaghetti and fried chicken.
The kitchen staffs cooked good food for us today, probably because we are going home for the weekend. We will be resuming on Monday with the whole school.
I giggled peering down at my own plate, stabbing my fork in the yummy delicacy, twirling the fork, i ruminate over what i will do during the weekend.
First i would go to my uncle's house to get some of my stuffs then i will go home to see my parents, another thing i was looking forward to was my date with Akorede.
I feel so giddy thinking about it. I am going on another date with him! He said i owe him this date because i had stopped sitting at the Elite's table because of the drama it caused.
I beamed lifting up the filled up fork into my mouth, i ate slowly the same time i felt someone sat down bedside me, i turn to see the fellow and i almost choke at the sight in front of me.
Akeju sat on the empty chair beside me, his sitting posture depicts lazy, he placed his right leg on the table, slinging his arm around my chair.
I swallowed dryly turning to Ejiro for help but he just stared at him like a deer caught in the headlight. I sit up realizing his friends were also joining my table.
What is he doing?
I moved uneasily on my seat, looking up at Akeju whose left eye drop in a wink at me. My stomach churned uneasily. The once noisy dinning hall started to grow quiet.
Snickers and annoying laughs filled our table as his friends made fun of Ejiro. I jumped when i felt his hand on my chin, turning my face to him. I quickly push it away knowing who was in the dining hall with us.
Jumping when he pulled my chair closer, the fork on my hand drops noisily on my plate at the impact.
"Wetin dey do you sef? Ara kin saa fun ara, come closer jor..." he joked but i still felt uneasy.
"What do you want?" i finally had the courage to ask.
"I want to eat with you today, so eat your food" his voice was neutral bit still has an element of command, smiling at me as if we were long time friends.
"I don't-"
"Eat. Your. Food" his voice dropped in an octave that i am familiar with causing me to shudder. Stealing a glance at Ejiro who stared at me in confusion and worry ignoring the idiots around me as well as the one eating his food.
I slowly picked my fork, having lost my appetite, i take a decent amount of the meal into my fork before putting it in my mouth. I can't seem to enjoy the taste again and it was probably due to the scary male in beside me who was watching my every move.
I flinched when his fingers caressed my cheek softly, the same time i heard someone slam a tray on the table surface.
I started hyperventilating, my heart pounding heavily in my chest as murmurs filled the hall, hard and fast footsteps was coming our way. I look up at him, he wore a sadistic grin on his face the same time someone grabbed him by the collar, pulling him off the seat.
I sit up the same time i saw Akorede push him away roughly. Akeju staggered on his feet as his friends stood up as well in defense.
"What the fuck is your problem?!" Akorede roared making the whole hall go quiet once again. Akeju stared at his tensed figure before looking back at me, suddenly he started cackling.
