A picture of Faramade Kuti in the multimedia. He looks beautiful right?
P. S : that is a mugshot, so....I hissed lightly before placing my head on my palm of my other hand, watching the nurse delicately and expertly clean and apply some ointment on the cut.
I always wondered why I am so delicate, I get injured at the slightest fall or hit. I know this is not my fault but I always find myself in this type of situation.
I look up as the feminine figure entered the room exchanging a few words with the nurse who was through with me.
She advised I stay back a few minutes before releasing me due to me having a slight concussion like she claimed I could have because of what Theresa told her.
She claimed I hit my head so hard on the ground which made the nurse fear i might have a concussion. I don't know her motive for this but i really want to know why she lied.
The nurse left, leaving Theresa and I in the room. I watch her place a nylon bag on my lap, I stared at the thing strangely before looking up at her for answers.
"You missed lunch" she stated before walking towards the single bed opposite mine, sitting on it, looking comfortable.
I watch her silently wondering why she was helping and why she decided to get me lunch.
It is not like we are friends, we are just roommates.
"What?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Uhn... Nothing" I quickly look away. I still felt her stare which became uncomfortable, I turn to look at her to see her still staring at me, her eyes navigates to my thighs, twice...
That was when I realized that I haven't opened the nylon.
Quickly, I rummaged through the tied knot, loosing it as fast as I can before opening it.
A bottle of chilled FreshYo, strawberry flavored and two glazed doughnuts and a meat pie which was well packed was staring back at me.
In my two years of staying in this school and this being my third, I had never had their meat pie because it was damn too expensive and I really don't have enough cash to be throwing around in this school.
I did a quick calculation on everything in there and if am up to date with the prize of things, the total cost should be one thousand five hundred naria.
How can she throw that amount of money away?
"Stop staring at it like it's poison" she chastised.
I sigh, am actually hungry cause I missed my lunch and I had a meagre breakfast.
"Thank you... But this is too much"
"Eat." she ordered leaving no room for argument.
I took out the doughnut from the shining wrapper before taking a small bite. I savoured the honey like flavour as well as the softness.
This is really good. Immediately, I swallowed it down before taking another big bite, eating like an animal. I stopped eating when I noticed the amused look on her face, I frowned.
"What?"
"You eat like a starved animal." she deadpanned while I merely shrugged before removing the cap of the bottle, taking a big gulp from it too.
I know she was been truthful and direct and it doesn't hurt me one bit. That is Theresa Taylor for you, brutally honest...
"I am hungry." I gave her the only reasonable and correct answer to her statement.
