Last week game with Ivy League Academy had caused a lot of controversies in school. It started as soon as we mounted our bus which was taking us back to school.
We couldn't stay a minute after the end of the game. Ivy League students where basically laughing at our faces, rubbing it in by celebrating their undeserved win through a party i heard they were throwing.
On top friendly game...
'Does the game look friendly to you?...'
Absolutely not.
Well i am glad it is over, we all went back home licking our wounds but i know our team will come back better and stronger.
Tega told me i will be spending Christmas with his family. I don't know why though because he told me he had discussed it Bro Martins and my parents.
I don't know why the two act like my parents a times. They could have just given me an heads up, what if i have something to do during this Christmas.
"Boo!"
I jumped when someone shouts into my ear, i whip around in fear only to see the laughing face of Akorede.
"Hey!" I snapped at him in annoyance, slapping him by the arm.
"You should have seen your face" he said in between laughter.
"It is not funny!"
I glared at him when he wouldn't stop laughing, i huff in annoyance turning away from him.
He tried making conversation with him but i gave him the cold shoulder.
"Ah ah... Are you still angry?" I refused to say anything turning away from him "okay okay... I'm sorry. Hmm?"
I rolled my eyes not looking at him but jumped when i felt that tickling sensation around my waist.
"Stop" i said trying to control my incoming laughter while pushing his hands away.
It was to no avail cause soon after i find myself laughing my head off while trying really hard to pull his hands away from my waist.
After much pleading from me he finally stopped. We both sat in silence enjoying the comfort of each other, even though we were both quiet, we relished the moment.
"Why are you sitting here all alone?" i shrugged at his question.
"Just felt like it."
"Just felt like it" he mimicked the so called sound of my voice making me playfully glare at him "You are weird at times"
"I do not sound like that... And what if i am weird, why do you choose to stay here with me?" i interrogated.
"I don't know. Maybe i am attracted to weird girls" he said in a carefree manner.
I tried so hard controlling the blush that was hell bent on rising to my face due to his statement.
Did he subtly told me he was attracted to me?
"What are your plans this Christmas?" he asked.
"Nothing much. I will be staying with my cousin so i will probably be lazy around doing nothing until after Christmas"
"Hmm... Let's go on a date"
I did a double take.
"Pardon?"
"Let me take you out on a date. Let's take this further"
I stared at him, he looked serious.
Wait, he wasn't joking?
