𝙶𝚘𝚕𝚍𝚎𝚗 𝙴𝚢𝚎𝚍 𝙿𝚛𝚘𝚝𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚘𝚛 || 𝚁𝚘𝚜𝚊𝚕𝚒𝚎 𝙷𝚊𝚕𝚎

Trio

"I thought they were further away," Rosalie says angrily.

"So did I," said Alice.

Rosalie huffs out. The nomads quickly approach the Cullens. There's 3 of them: 2 guys and 1 girl. Strangely, they're all barefoot.

"Sorry to intrude your game. We were just passing through," one of the males says, probably the leader.

"That's alright. We were just alarmed is all," Carlisle says reassuringly.

"I'm Laurent. The brunette here is James. The redhead, Victoria, is his mate."

Rosalie takes her time inspecting this Victoria woman. Victoria stares daggers at Rosalie back. The blonde hisses under her breath, fangs urging to unsheathe. Rosalie's black forming eyes catch Esme's hand signal to stay put.

"Could y'all use a few more players?" James asks.

James's voice is partly unsettling to all of the Cullens and the human. It's husky, yet calm. It's harsh and chilling but not petrifying.

"Sure, we don't mind. Do we, guys?" Esme asks the clan.

Everybody nods his or her head and continues on splitting into teams. Team 1 is Carlisle, Emmett, Alice, Edward, and Victoria. Team 2 is Jasper, Rosalie, James, and Laurent. There's an uneven number of players, but no one minds. Esme and Dani stand on the sideline, acting as referees.

Team 1 starts with the ball. They settle into their offensive play while the other team settles into a defensive one.

"Hike!" Edward yells because he's the quarterback for his team.

All of the players start running around while Edward tries to find an opening. He looks over to Alice and throws it has hard as he can. Alice catches the ball and makes a run for the red painted end zone. She makes it past a couple yard lines until Rosalie slams herself into Alice. A whistle is heard from Esme, ending the play. Rosalie freezes as her enhanced hearing picks up something that wouldn't be heard if she wasn't a vampire.

"That's my girl."

Rosalie turns around only to be met with Dani's smile across the field. The blonde chuckles lightly and blows Dani a kiss. The opponents line up again for another play. Just as Edward was about to yell, a gush of light wind blows through the crisp air. Every vampire freezes and inhales. A frightening chuckle is heard from the redhead.

"They brought a snack."

Rosalie's senses shoot into overdrive. Panic pulses through her icy skin. The blonde sprints across the field to her mate: the one thing that's most important to her. Rosalie stands in front of Dani in a protective stance, blocking her from any harm. The rest of the Cullens follow Rosalie's path and forms a wall around the human. The nomads form a wall of their own in front of the Cullens. The vampires battles each other out by hissing and growling at one another.

"I see you have a human with you. Why?" James asks.

"She's with us," Emmett barks back.

"I see we are no longer welcome. Let's go," Laurent orders.

Victoria stays a few seconds longer, examining the blonde and brunette. Her nostrils flare open.

"Let's go, Victoria," says James.

The redhead slowly follows behind him, wrapping her arm around his waist.

"Rosalie, take Dani her house," Carlisle demands.

Rosalie hoists Dani on her back and runs at full speed to the Taylor residence. Dani wraps her arms tightly around the blondes neck to relieve herself from falling. Rosalie makes it through the woods and into the yard of Dani's home. The vampire hops up the wall and into Dani's room through the window. She rushes around, packing a bag with clothes and other supplies.

"What the hell is going on?" Dani asks freaked out.

Rosalie stops what she's doing and looks at Dani with stern eyes.

"Victoria? That stupid redhead? She's a tracker, Danielle. She won't stop until she finds you. We're taking you somewhere far away."

"What about my dad, Rosalie? He'll call me constantly. He'll come after me when I come back."

Rosalie takes the shaking brunette into her arms and holds her tightly.

"I won't let anything happen to you, my love. I'll bring you back in one piece."
