The next day
Everyone's back home and Rose is slowly recovering. The boys took a few days off of doing work to rest with the girls. Zach slowly drifts to Zoya while they're watching a movie and eating breakfast. Zoya looks puzzled for a moment.
"What's up Zoya?" he asks.
"It's just that you guys only have your father.. maybe you should forgive him?" Zoya responds while she fumbles with her hands.
"He's not worthy of our forgiveness. And he'll never change his mind".
"He might.." She says under her breath.
"Zoya, you realize you are too forgiving of a person? One day, it'll eat you alive".
"But maybe Zoya's right. Maybe you boys should at least give him a call". Rose chimes in.
"No way. He hurt you". Lonokai says in a soft tone.
The girls look at each other. "Just one call." Zoya says.
Lonokai sits quiet for a second then says "Zach, I know, as much as we don't want to do this, maybe one call won't hurt".
After a few seconds, Zach takes a deep breath and agrees, pulls out his phone, and scrolls all the way down to where his father's contact is. He takes another deep breath and pushes the call button. He puts the phone on speaker while the phone rings.
Ring....Ring....Ring
Finally, Zane's voice is heard.
"What did you want earlier?" Zach asks Zane.
"I was just about to call you. Can we talk it over tonight?" Zane responds.
"Uh, no way." Zach says sternly.
They all sit quietly. Zoya clasps her hand with his and nods towards him.
"Fine" Zach frowns while holding eye contact with Zoya.
"We'll meet you next to the restaurant near the mall". Zach says.
"I'll be waiting". Zane says.
Zach cuts the phone he clenches his fists and sighs.
"Near the mall?" Zoya says while smirking.
"Yes, you girls can go shopping. We figured you could go get something special for yourselves". Lonokai smiles.
The girls look at each other in excitement and sprint to shower and get ready to leave for the mall. The boys wait to get ready because they know the girls would put in more time getting ready.
After some time, the boys go get ready. Zach dresses himself in a deep red button up shirt and leaves the top few buttons open. He pairs the shirt up with some slacks, dress shoes and a silver chain. Lonokai does the same but wears a black button up shirt instead. When they finish, they meet up with each other in the hallway.
"Looking pretty snazzy, Zach" Lonokai runs a hand through his hair.
"You don't look too bad yourself, Lono." Zach says while smirking.
The two of them talk for a few minutes while waiting upon the girls. They wait and wait and then start to get impatient. They walk to the girl's door and knock; no answer. They slowly open the door and poke their heads in cautiously, just to make sure they weren't going to see something that would have messed with their heads. Zach walked to Zoya's bathroom door and Lonokai to Rose's.
"ZOYA" Zach screams. "What is taking you so long!?"
"I'll be out in a minute!"
"ROSE" Lonokai shouts from the other side of the door. "Are you almost ready?"
