Chapter 40 - The Circle of Life

The next morning

Rose informs Zach that she'll be going out with Zoya alone.

Zach has his suspicions, especially from Zoya's behavior the night before, but doesn't look too much into it.

Rose and Zoya meet up in Rose's car. Rose also brings Matthew.

"Aww. Little Matthew is so cute in his little car seat!" Zoya smiles.

Rose looks back and admires her son. "And we're going to have an addition to the family."

Zoya rubs her stomach.

Once they arrive at the mall, they put little Matthew in a stroller and then head to the maternity store for Zoya.

"So, when are you going to tell Zach?" Rose asks while holding a few dresses up.

"I'm not really sure." Zoya rubs her arm and looks down.

Rose puts everything away and grabs Zoya's hand, "You know I know when something is wrong with you. What's up?"

"Well, I don't know how Zach feels about kids." She sighs.

"Don't worry. He's going to love your baby regardless of anything." Rose holds her sister.

"I think I'm going to indirectly tell him and hope he understands."

Rose chuckles, "Of course you're going to make it hard for him."

Later that night

Zach takes Zoya out for dinner. They go to the beach where they eat some sandwiches and enjoy the sounds of the water crashing on the shoreline.

Zach takes Zoya's hand and gazes off into the ocean, "Lonokai couldn't have been happier with his family."

"Rose is really happy with him and Matthew as well. They make a cute family." Zoya rests her head on Zach's shoulder.

"I agree. Seeing my lil bro like that is amazing. He's just in the beginning of the circle of life."

Zoya grasps Zach's hand and lightly squeezes it, "We are too."

Zach stays quiet for a minute and tries to process what she had just said, "Wait.... are you.... wait... WHAT?"

He stands up and helps Zoya up, too. She nods and he hugs her tightly. He then picks her up and swings her around, "I can't wait for our baby girl!"

"Who said it's going to be a girl?" Zoya questions with an eyebrow raised.

"I tell you we're gonna have a mini Zoya just you wait." He laughs.

Zoya's brow is still raised, "Mkay."

A few months go by, and now it's Rose helping Zoya out with her pregnancy while Zach is busy. Lonokai continues to run his company and be happier than ever with Rose and his son. Madrid now lives in Dubai with his son, but still visits home for work purposes.

"Lono, Madrid's back in town wanna meet up at the bar later?" Zach asks.

"You know it. Let me tell Rose."

The boys let the girls know that they'll be going out that night, so the girls decide to spend the night together with Matthew.

"It's Matthew's first sleepover!" Zoya giggles.

"Yup and with his aunty."

Madrid, Zach, and Lonokai meet up in the outside VIP lounge of the bar. They do their handshakes and order some whiskey.

"Congrats big bro, you're going to be a father soon." Lonokai starts the conversation.

"Thanks guys." Zach sits in disbelief. He then turns towards Madrid. "How's everything in Dubai? Everything with your son good?"

Madrid takes a sip of his drink, "It's going well. All my business is being handled smoothly. As for Roman, it's really hard without Elise, but I'm trying to be the best father that I can."

"I can't believe we're all here today. I mean, not that long ago, Zach was so jealous of you." Lonokai comments.

All three of them laugh.

"Yeah, it's crazy what time does." Zach adds.

The boys finish chit-chatting and head home.

A week later

Rose finds out she's pregnant again. Zoya lets Rose and Lonokai announce it at Zoya's gender reveal party since everyone was gathered already.

Everyone gathers for Zoya's gender reveal. She grabs the balloon with Zach and then pops it. Zoya's showered in pink confetti while everyone's cheering. "It's a girl!" Zoya yells out.

"I told you we'd be having a mini Zoya." Zach hugs Zoya.

The two stare into each others eyes admiring each other in happiness.

Zoya's finally on her 9th month, her water breaks, and she's rushed to the hospital. Zach, Rose, and Lonokai accompany her in the hospital. After being in labor for a few hours, she gives birth to her baby girl. Zoya names her Aya.

It takes an additional few hours to get all of the paperwork finished. Zach and Lonokai head to the cafeteria in the hospital to get Zoya a snack. Rose leaves Zoya for a moment to take Matthew to the restroom.

Zoya is cleared by the nurse to leave. She waits for a little bit and then decides to leave. She carries Aya in her arms as she walks in the hallway she starts to feel dizzy. She keeps on walking and almost falls to the ground when Madrid catches her.

She looks up, "Madrid you're here! I thought you were going to stay in Dubai for longer." Zoya explains.

"I couldn't miss your first kid." Madrid smiles as he's trying to help her up. He sees that one of her arms is holding Aya so he grabs her by her waist.

"Thank you-" Zoya sees Zach staring at the end of the hall.

Zach and Lonokai approach Madrid.

"What do you think you're doing dude?" Zach inquires.

"I was just trying to help." Madrid tries to explain but Zach stops him.

They get in a heated argument, "Madrid, you never really lost feelings for Zoya, huh?" Lonokai adds.

They continue arguing for a little bit longer.

"GUYS STOP," Rose comes back. "We are not doing this in front of Matthew! You guys are stressing Zoya out too much. Take this somewhere else please."

Zoya starts to tear up, and Rose helps to comfort her.

Not very long after, Rose's 9 months are over and she also gives birth to a baby girl, Leilani.

2 years later

Rose and Zoya often set play dates for the three kids. They spend most of their time having sleepovers, watching movies, attempting to bake with the kids and tailoring outfits for them. Rose and Zoya launch a kid's collection in honor of their children. They also slowly start to add some men's apparel to their boutique.

Lonokai continues to grow in his businesses along with campaigning for the girls' boutique.

Zach and Madrid put their argument aside and continue working together. They both travel around from time to time, but mostly staying at home with their families and making deals in the Mafia. However one day, a trade fails in Egypt with Madrid which Zach blames him for, causing them to not speak again.
