The faint noises of running water echoed throughout the space we'd been taken to, as well as the sound of faint footsteps. I smelt what seemed to be...waste.

"Are we in the sewer?" I asked.

"Nooooo...? Yeah, we're in the sewer." I heard Mikey respond. Our bags were taken off of our heads, further confirming my suspicions.

I don't know what I expected, maybe a...shell for a home or something. I was okay until I saw April there too. Our eyes met, and we were equally shocked.

"Korren? Rowan? What are you guys doing here?" She questioned. "We could ask you the same thing," Rowan responded, scooting a bit closer to me.

Looking up, we saw a giant rat stroking his beard and observing the three of us.

April looked over at the rat. "Why did you bring them here?"

"They know of our existence, as do you," Sensei explained.

Rowan and I stood up, approaching the rat as he spoke. "You have been brought to this place because you know of our existence... and we need you to promise that no one else will know about us, or, this place down here in the sewers that we call our home."

"Your secret is safe with us," We smiled. "You have our word,"

"...Very well, then. You may call me Sensei, or Master Splinter." Sensei smiled.

"I just befriended a mutant rat and four turtles that live down in the sewers. Not something I imagined I'd do ever in my life, but I'm happy this is how things turned out."

Sensei looked over at April, stroking his mustache. "It's been quite a long time...I'm sure you've forgotten it, haven't you?"

"This is...I-I don't understand..." April stammered.

"Don't worry...all will be made clear." He continued.

After all of us entered another room and took our seats, Splinter explained everything. They were living in a laboratory while being injected with mutagen by April's dad and his partners. But, sooner or later, her father realized that one of the people he was working with was the villain.

Shredder...was his name.

April's dad set fire to the lab, just to destroy Shredder's plan. He died, but April took Splinter and the turtles to safety.

"Why did you bring me here?" April asked.

"To find out whom you've told of our existence." He continued. "Well...no one that believed me." She smirked, and I sensed her agitation. "Except for Eric Sacks,"

"Sacks," I heard Splinter gasp. "Just as I feared..."

Splinter turned his back to us for a moment. "Sacks is not a friend. Shredder, a dark master, is poisoning his soul with his influence."

I looked over at April; her face said it all. It was filled with regret, and the purple aura around her meant that Splinter had explained struck fear.

"What have I done? Sacks knows everything..." I heard her anxious thoughts echo throughout her mind, teasing her.

"Shredder practically raised Sacks in Japan. He's like a father to him. He'll do anything for his master."

"Wait, wait, wait-" Raph chimed in, holding his hand up. "Sacks and Shredder? So why aren't we out there hunting them down?"

"Because Raphael," Splinter spoke as he approached his son, "Shredder is a skilled warrior, whose cruelty is ever-reaching!" He explained. "...And you, are just teenagers."

"The mutagen in your blood is of great value to them," He then turned back to face us, "Now that they have confirmation that you are alive, I fear they will bring the fight to us."

April took out Sacks' business card, staring intently at his number. "Oh no," She muttered. Her fear intensified in the form of her aura, it was infecting me. I stood up and exited the room for a short moment just to process everything. That, and I didn't want to have an episode in front of everyone.

Things are getting intense. What are we going to do?
