I quickly trudge my way towards my bestfriend's room, a ferrero box in hand. The 10 year old boy and I had a childish argument about which game to play on the console. Leading to the present where I decide to be the mature one. The reason being im older than him, despite only a year in gap.I barge in the room without thinking to knock. I see the familiar grape head boy sulking in his bed. He had ran off to his room after we both mutually claimed to quote on quote, 'never talk to each other ever again'.
That's obviously a lie. Especially since our parents are good business partners. We've basically been friends before we even knew how to speak. I guess you could say we're stuck with each other now for the rest of our lives, 'less our parents decide to stop working together. Which is never. Two of the most successful business tycoons in Japan stopping their partnership? never. But anyway, I don't know too much about that, I'm just 11 after all.
The boy in front of me was giving me a pout that showed a clear sign of pettiness. I roll my eyes before giving him the box I intended to give in the first place.
"Sorry about earlier." I look to the side, holding the box out before glancing at him again to look for a reaction.
He looks at me, then at the box, then at me, before sending a toothy smile as if whatever happened earlier never happened.
He quickly takes the box before shouting an 'It's okay!' and a 'Thank you!'. I watch as he struggles to open the ferrero box.
Miserably failing at trying not to laugh, I continue to watch and stifle my laughter as he gets even more frustrated with every second he spends on trying to figure out how to open it.
"Give me that." I offer.
He gives me back the box and watches carefully as I take the tape off, that he didn't notice, and easily open it. He gawks at me as if I'm some angel who was sent from heaven that he just saw in real life. I chuckle from the sight of him in awe at such a simple thing.

8:47 A.M."What are you laughing at?"
Snapping out of my thoughts, I turn to look at the boy that filled them; who is currently holding a ferrero box in hand. 'Probably from a girl who confessed.'
"Oh, nothing." I started whilst letting out a chuckle, "Just thinking about that one time I gave you a ferrero box as an apology when we were kids. Remember? When you struggled to open it so I had to help you? You really looked up to me after that you know." I teased.
He lets out a huff at the memory before taking off the tape and opening it no problem.
"Wow, looks like someone finally knows. Good job Reo."
"When are you gonna stop teasing me about that everytime I eat a ferrero rocher." Reo whines.
"Never." I let out a laugh at his suffering state.
He pops the chocolate into his mouth as I turn my back to face the desk that I have been trying to avoid. On it is a pile of work, ahem, vice pres work, that I've been dreading to do.
Being part of the student council is like a wish to slowly rot to death with each passing second of the day, and being the vice president too? kill me now. To put the icing on top of this godforsaken cupcake, I'm a senior. Why is that so bad you may ask? well it's the pile of fucking schoolwork I have to do alongside the council meetings, event planning, student affairs, etc. So many things to do with so little time. Is this school insane? probably. Prestigious school my ass.
Letting out a depressing sigh that was close to sounding like someone who had completely given up in life, I face the paperwork that looked to be taunting me as if it knows that it's the reason for my slowly deteriorating mental health.
While I was working, Reo suddenly perks up at the realization of something.
"Oh right! I just remembered what I was here for!"
I look at him with a raised brow, "Really? I thought you were just here to show off the chocolate you got." I jokingly state.
He shoots me a playful glare before continuing, "So.. you know how I've been into soccer lately right?"
Oh God. Of course I know. That's all you've been talking about for the past week or so.
Deciding to keep those words to myself, I simply hum in response. I wait for him to continue, in which he gladly does.
"Well.. I met someone! He's a natural! And you know what's crazier?! He doesn't even play soccer! He has an interesting personality as well." He continues to rant about how this 'apparent genius' always finds everything a hassle, even something as simple as chewing food, and how he always lounges around to play video games or take a nap even during class. 'Well.. he sure is interesting.'
Turning my head back to face the desk, I let his words go from one ear to another as I continue my work. Trust me, I'm glad that he found something he's genuinely interested in and found someone he can call a friend, but I'm way too busy for this. Well, that is until I hear certain words that catch my attention.
"I want you to meet him."
I whip my head towards him with a surprised look on my face.
"Uh...sure..?" I sheepishly say, not knowing how to handle the situation. I don't even know how to get along with a guy who's the complete opposite of me. I doubt I'm interesting enough for him to even remember my name. "But can we do it after? I'm kinda busy."
"Oh no, we can do it now."
.
.
.
."He's outside."
What.
