Before I finish the next chapter, I'll explain a bit about the event because I'm not sure if other countries do these.
In the Ph, we have this school sports fest(intramurals) which is, as the name suggests, competing in sports. For non athletes though, we have side activities that they can participate in during the duration of the event. Which are:
LOVE BOOTH
- In which students will set others up for a blind date (mostly friends doing this to their friend and their crush just to tease them.)
- Once the two students have been confirmed by the one who set them up, the hosts will go around the school to find them and blindfold them. (will quite literally abduct you)
- Both blindfolded students must participate in activities such as for example; slow dancing while blindfolded, etc
- At the end of the date, the hosts will remove the blindfolds and take a pic of the two participants.
MARRIAGE BOOTH
- Exactly what the name says, marriage.
- Same as the love booth, just more extra. There are makeshift rings, makeshift priest(a student), makeshift attire, etc.
- The location is also at a makeshift church made by the students themselves which includes an altar, seats for the guest, and extra decorations like flowers.
JAIL BOOTH
- Just like the last two, minus the lovey dovey part. You will get kidnapped.
- The hosts will be the makeshift cops and you can pay them to arrest whoever you want. They need a description of the wanted person (saying of the name is not allowed, just the appearance.)
- Once they get the info, they will play a siren sound on the speakers and anyone who hears it are free to participate in the chase. (the 'cops' will inform them of what the wanted person looks like)
- Once they get the person, they are locked in a makeshift jail for 20 minutes (which is the worst because people can stare at you from the outside)
- If the prisoner wishes to come out, they must get someone to pay for the bail.
HORROR BOOTH
- Exactly as the name suggests.
- The actors are students. Every prop, makeup, and attire is done by them.
- The booth is decorated by the students as well. They are mostly in classrooms.
These booths are hosted by the student body (there are a lot more booths, I'm just listing the popular ones). In short, the purpose of these are just for friends to tease each other and have fun. I just wanted to explain so you guys can get an idea of what I'm talking about. That's all!
