"Where is she?"

Reo groans. For the past few minutes or so, this is what Nagi has been asking for over and over again and Reo could feel his patience running thin.

"She'll show up Nagi, now focus on practice!" He doesn't mean to snap at his bestfriend. But what can he do? The boy just won't focus, his attention being somewhere else instead. And that somewhere else is at a girl, who's currently approaching them.

"Finally! God I thought I was gonna die from how Nagi kept whining and complaining."

"Huh? What's up?" The girl just stares at them, confused.

"Hi (Y/n)."

She glances to where the voice came from before making eye contact with Nagi. She smiles, "Hi Nagi. What are you guys up to?"

Reo uses this as an opportunity to take his turn in voicing out his complaints. "We were practicing. Well, supposed to be, but Nagi over here was looking for you. Like- the whole time."

She looks even more confused, even raising her brow to express it. Concluding that it wasn't that serious, she shrugs it off before taking a seat at a nearby bench.

After practice was over, Nagi races to (Y/n)'s side. From their whole time of being friends, Reo swears he's never seen him move that fast off the field before.

"(Y/n), let's play again."

Now they're at it again, playing in complete silence. Save for the occasional comments on how to beat an enemy and the background sound of the game.

Reo sits down beside the two and smiles, contented that two of his special someones are getting along. Which is still pretty unexpected on his part, but who is he to complain when this is all he ever wanted.

I rush to my desk after hearing the familiar notification sound from my pc. I just finished my activities and skincare routine which left me with quite a bit of free time.

I sit down on my chair before clicking the call button, the receiver immediately answering, his face filling up the screen.

"Hey Nagi."

I try to keep my voice down as to avoid waking up anyone in the house, which is highly unlikely considering how huge it is and how my parents aren't even here. It's muscle memory, maybe.

Observing the boy, he was in a dimly lit place, the screen from his monitor being the only thing lighting up his room. He was in a comfortable hoodie and headphones that rested on his head; a sight that's different from the usual uniform I always see him in. His hair being the only thing that's not different, still as messy as before.

"Hey (Y/n), let's continue where we left off." Oh right. We exchanged discord users claiming that it'll help us communicate better when we're away from each other.

"Alright." I guess staying up a bit later playing with this boy won't hurt, right?

Checking the time, I realize that it was about to turn 12. Quickly apologizing to Nagi, I inform him that I have to sleep so I can wake up early tomorrow.

Although disheartened, Nagi agrees that sleep sounds good right now. Before he ends the call however, he tells me to wait before he disappears from the camera's view.

He comes back with what seems to be a cactus in hand. Confused, I wait for him to say something.

"This is Choki, he says goodnight."

Oh. Cute.

I giggle, "Well goodnight to you too, Choki. You too Nagi."

Nagi shows a slight smile and I swear I can feel my heart skip a beat. A smile looks cute on him.

"Goodnight (Y/n)." And with that, he ends the call.
