"I don't think it's a good idea for you to stay in the same room as the other girls." Professor Weasley stood in the Slytherin Common Room, shooing off people who came to investigate the incident. It was still way too early to wake up, everyone running around in their sleeping robes and trying to catch a glance of what happened just a few rooms away as they were sleeping. Riva wrapped a blanket around Amaya who was sitting on the armchair in front of the fireplace, staring into nothingness, not following what Professor Weasley told her. "I will organize a single room for you, so you can't endanger anyone else while you're sleeping. We will talk about this more once the sun is up. Until then I'd like for you to stay in the Common Room Miss Rosewood." - "Sleep in the Common Room?" Riva stood up from her crouch next to Amaya, furrowing her eyebrows at Weasley. "She seems pretty cozy to me, doesn't she? And I don't think she will catch any sleep after what happened anyway Miss Merril." Weasley turned on her heal, the sleeping robe whirling as she did so, leaving the Common Room by climbing the stairs. Riva sighed as she sat down in the armchair next to Amaya, eyeing her friend stare into the flames in front of them. She seemed devastated, as if her soul got shocked out of her body. "Can you tell me what happened? Was it a bad dream?" The only answer was a shake of her head, knowing she didn't mean No, it wasn't a nightmare but No, I don't want to talk about it. "Alright. I'll go see the house elves in the kitchen and ask them for some tea. Lavender I suppose. It calms the mind. You'll be fine without me?" An absent-minded nod made the witch sigh, turning on her heel the way Professor Weasley did, on her way to grab the tea she promised.

There are no second chances in real life.

Amaya closed her eyes at the memory of Sanktia's voice, trying to hold back the tears. She's heard it a lot the past months, but it hadn't felt so vivid since that day she exploded in Jasper's attic. She endangered him back then and now Imelda and Nerida. Professor Weasley was probably right when she said she should stay in the Common Room until they had the Room situation figured out... She wouldn't sleep a lot after tonight anyways.

You were supposed to save me Amaya.
I know. I know I am so sorry, please let me try again. I will save you I promise, please...

A whimper escaped her, resulting out of the pain in her throat from the lump that formed there, desperately trying to hold back the tears that were dangerously close to just drenching her face the way they did in her dream, hot, salty tears, feeling like they wanted to burn her skin and hurt her even more than she was already hurting... "What was that back there?" The voice made her turn around in her chair, ripping her eyes open, allowing the tears that she held back behind her eyelids to dribble over the brim, making their way down her face. Sebastian's expression changed to an apologetic one. He wasn't a monster, seeing someone cry made him feel some kind of sympathy within him. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to disturb you." He said as he crouched down in front of her, doing exactly that. Disturb her. She brought the edge of the blanket Riva wrapped around her shoulders to her face, wiping the hot tears away, hating that Sallow saw her in a moment of weakness. "What happened? Why are you crying?" He eyed her carefully, catching a glimpse of the burned sleeping robes under the blanket. Did they duel in their room at night? Amaya just shook her head, keeping her gaze fixed upon her lap. Out of all the people in this school she most definitely wouldn't tell Sebastian Sallow about her dreams and how she almost killed two other students in her sleep the way she normally killed Ashwinders...

Amaya stood up, pulling the blanket around her shoulders close, walking back and forth in front of the fireplace, understanding now why Sebastian did this sometimes. It helped him think. The wizard stood up as well, watching her bite her lip until it turned red under the pressure, the blood so close to the surface, it might burst any second. The heat of the fire fueling the feeling of suffocation in her chest, as if she was burning inside out, pain rushing through every nerve in her body. Her head was spinning, with thoughts but also with heat, making her feel like she was sick, had a fever or maybe she herself was the fever after all. Everything seemed out of place, nothing felt right, her skin tingling, her eyes burning and her heart racing. Every breath felt like it took her closer to the edge of a cliff, forcing her to jump, making her feel anxious in a way she hasn't been for such a long time. Amaya. Her eyes darted around the room frantically, feeling like Sanktia might watch her from every corner, hiding in every shadow, making her feel bad about her dream over and over again. "Amaya?" The witch had to cover her ears and close her eyes, trying to shut her friends voice out, locking every emotion and thought away, burying them deep insi- "May!" A cold hand touched her cheek, wiping away the tears that dared to burn her with its' thumb. "It's okay..." When she opened her eyes, Sebastian looked at her with a mixture of worry and fear. He took her hands, lowering them from her ears, smiling a little as she let him do so. "Don't get yourself all tangled up in what happened. You're stronger than whatever it is, that bothers you." Her breath slowly calmed down with the cooling feeling of his fingers, caressing the back of her hand, taking away the tingling feeling of electricity within her.
