Ominis has been contemplating last night's events longer than he'd like to admit. It was unnerving that Sebastian has been yielding his guts out from around 4 AM to the first sound of the castle's bells chiming. He felt sorry for him but at the same time Sallow most definitely deserved having to live through the aftermath of his actions. "I'll prepare a bath and set some potions aside so you'll be up on your feet again by midday. Speaking of potions, you should be able to attend Sharp's class after lunch right?" Sebastian groaned at that, twisting in the sweaty sheets from his miserable rest. For the first few hours you could almost consider him unconscious, knocked out from the distressing events of his day prior but everything after he awoke was pure hell. The Fire Whiskey definitely wasn't the best choice considering how it burned his throat on the way out again. Maybe he truly deserved to suffer. "Get a grip, it's your own fault you're feeling like shit. If you don't attend classes from lunch forward I'll kill you. Personally." Ominis summoned his robe as his wand guided him to the door, hearing the unpleasant churning of his friends guts as he passed. He wouldn't be surprised if he'd throw up several more times while he was gone, considering there was even anything left to. On his way out of the Common Room, Amaya joined him, the familiar scent of her almost drowning him with no way to reach the surface of clarity again once he'd gone under. It was almost suffocating. "Good morning Ominis. How was your night?" Her fingers went trough her hair, considering she didn't have the time to brush it properly in an attempt to catch the blonde Slytherin. Riva has been up pretty early so she wasn't able to enjoy her company as they made their way to classes. "Horrible if I'm being honest with you. Sebastian had a rough night." – "Serves him right. Drinking himself into oblivion doesn't fix anything." Amaya sighed, adjusting her robe as they walked, her blue ensemble long forgotten whenever she attended classes by now, knowing the gazes she got for it. "The question remains: why exactly was it he drank himself into oblivion? What was he trying to forget about?" Ominis took a turn as his wand motioned for him to, Amaya not daring to even breath at the memory. He felt her hesitation like a brick wall around her, waving it off with a small hand motion. "It's fine you don't have to tell me. I didn't mean to pry." That wall crumbled with his words, his presence suddenly like a warm blanket for her thoughts. He was so considerate and nice, a healthy friend compared to the toxic behavior of his roommate. The difference between them was like a raging cliff. And still Sebastian was all she could think about.
"He said some fucked up things to me. Maybe out of rage, blind to the pain he could cause or especially intending for me to hurt. I wouldn't be surprised if it was the latter." Ominis came to a halt, a sudden wave of regret washing over him at the thought he took care of Sebastian all night after he hurt Amaya. He should have let him rot in bed... "I'm sorry. I know an apology in his name isn't what you want or need right now but maybe I can make it up to you." She raised an eyebrow, stepping aside, softly taking his arm to move him to the wall of the hallway as well. "Like how?" – "I'll think of something even if it isn't in my interest to justify what he did or take care of the wake he leaves everywhere once he crashes down on people. I'm just hoping it might make you feel better." A soft smile formed on Amaya's lips at his words, a slight blush creeping upon her cheeks, glad he wasn't able to see that. "That is really sweet Ominis but you don't have to. Spending time with you already takes my mind off of things." – "We should spend more time together then." He couldn't believe his brain was functioning so fast, working out a way for him to see her more often, besides classes, while his heart was a jumping mess in his chest. Her effect on people was unbelievable. He understood what Sebastian saw in her even if his friend didn't know how to handle such a gem of a person. To his surprise she was just as witted, her voice soothing his nervous heart. "I'd love that." They smiled at each other for a second, some unspoken feelings fizzing through the air as Amaya realized the dangerous low grumble of the clock, reminding them to get going or they'd be late. "We have to hurry or Weasley will kill us. I can't stand another lecture on the importance of Transfiguration class and how she wants me to do extra exercises." Ominis sighed at the memory, his head turning a little to investigate the sounds of the massive number of students running through the hall. "I can't navigate through them that quickly." His wand vibrating in his hand, warning him of every person brushing past him, a sigh leaving his lungs. "Do you trust me?" – "What's that supposed to mean, of course I trust you." Her hand wrapped around his tightly, a tingling feeling creeping all over his skin in the spots she touched. "Don't let go."
