seemed like the whole world was chasing Landon, but only one person was actually with him," ash tells Alaric in his office.
"If you won't tell me who they are, will you at least tell me why they are following you?" Landon asks Seylah. "They weren't, until you showed up. So, maybe they're following you," Seylah accuses. "I'm not stupid. I would have noticed if I was being followed," Landon says. "Close your eyes.
How many windows are in this room?" Seylah says. "What?
We just got here," Landon says. "The parking lot, how many cars?" Seylah demands. "| don't know, like ten?" Landon says. "The man who gave us the keys, was he right- or left-handed?" Seylah asks. "Nobody notices stuff like that," Landon says. "Three, seven, ambidextrous," Seylah deadpans.

"Tell me more about you," Seylah demands. "Why? Because you care or because you want intel?" Landon asks. "Does it matter? Either way, I genuinely want to know," Seylah says.
"Too bad. I've already told you my entire tragic life story,"
Landon says. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Seylah asks. "His name is ash But ash and his bestfriend and sister cousins will probably kill us both if him heard you calling him my boyfriend " Landon says.

"I doubt that very much," Seylah says. "Ash and I are... complicated. I-1 hurt him once, and I don't think he ever going to forgive me for it," Landon says. "What'd you do?" Seylah asks. "lied to him And other stuff. Deep down, I think it's the lying part he never understand," Landon says. "She sounds tough," Seylah muses. "Look who's talking," Landon says. "You two would probably hate each other," Landon says. "And his sister and bestfriend ivy would just hate you," she adds. Seylah laughs, "| guess it's true, then. Girl like boy who remind them of their mothers. You're stubborn.... and surrounded by danger. You're my daughter , all right," Seylah admits.

"Well, she accepted her, sort of," Davina says. "I and ivy would not just hate her," hope says. "You are about to throw a knife at her head,"ash deadpans. "Spoiler alert," molly mutters.
The door bursts open and a knife flew towards Seylah and Landon. "Uh, we're looking for Landon Kirby," Hope says.
"And who the hell are you?" Seylah asks "Uh...People who care about her,"ash says. "So tell us where she is before I blow your head off," ivy growls. "You must be ash Seylah says. "Wrong, I'm ivy  ivy says. "You're the one I'm supposed to hate," Seylah says. Ivy smirks, "Feeling is mutual," ivy says.

"Well you three certainly know how to make an impression," Elijah says. "As opposed to killing Trevor for no specific reason," hope asks. "We learned how to make dramactic entrances when we were three," ivy says. "My personal favorite, Uncle Nik's karma," molly  says. Hope and ivy start laughing, "You were very proud," Hope says turning to Rebekah.
Seylah turns to Alaric, "So you're the headmaster of a private school for supernaturals. And you're the teacher's pet?" Seylah asks. "Actually, they're kind of pains in my ass," Alaric mutters. "A little judgy for an absentee mother," ivy mutters. "Or should we just wrap this up now and start calling you Esther," hope asks. "You were wrong. I like them," Seylah says turning to Landon.
"Yikes," Elena and Bonnie say. "That was cold,"
Damon says.

"Well, now you know about us. All we know about you is that you gave birth to Landon, she says a monster attacked you," ash starts. "And now there's some sort of fake gas company coming after you two. So, I think it's time you start filling in some blanks," ivy finishes. "When I finished my service in the army, I was recruited by an intelligence organization. The States sounded like a better life. I didn't know what I was signing up for, but soon I learned that things like you exist in this world. My job was very much like yours. To keep the supernatural world a secret. Whenever a monster went bump in the night and risked exposing the truth, I tracked it down and brought it back to headquarters," Seylah explains. "We're not monsters,"Hope says. "You are to me," Seylah accuses. "And what do you consider people who abandon their children," hope taunts. Seylah narrows her eyes at the three girls and ash .
"Wow, you guys never stop insulting people do you,"
Caroline says. "No, we don't," hope says.
"This headquarters, where is it?" Hope demands. "Sorry.
You just seem morally inclined enough to do something stupid, and there's too much blood on my hands as it is. A few years in, I saw something I shouldn't. I became the hunted instead of the hunter," Seylah says. "What exactly did you see?" Ash demands. " wanted to know what was happening to the monsters. Because even though I spent all that time studying their every move, I couldn't remember them at all. So I started taking notes. I realized my memory was being erased. The question was: How?" Seylah continues. "Malivore," hope growls. "How do you know about Malivore?" Seylah asks. "Landon took a knife that belonged to our school's collection. Now monsters that shouldn't exist have been coming after it ever since," Alaric says.
"The hunter becoming the hunted," ivy muses.
"Almost like the entire thing was created by a
Mikaelson," ash says. "Aww, please, Mikaelsons like the chase and to look someone in the eyes when they kill them," Hope says.
"He means I stole it. And then I, like, um, woke it up or something. What's Malivore?" Landon asks. "It's a hell dimension that consumes creatures and wipes their existence from the collective conscience," ash says. "Sound about right?" Ivy asks Seylah. "More or less,"
Seylah admits. "Awesome," Landon says. "The last monster that came for the knife was a Necromancer who screwed us over and returned it back to Malivore. Long story. But he said that the knife is one of three keys that kept Malivore contained," Hope finishes explaining. "So why are monsters still coming for you?" Ash asks. "I have no idea. Didn't really get a chance to ask the last one. He just tried to eat me," Seylah says. "As you can see, it's been a rough semester," Alaric says. "It will only get worse if you don't go home and forget you heard the name," Seylah warns. "Just like we forget anyone who's ever been there," Seylah says.
"Wait, wait, wait, wait. You-you have to tell us more," Alaric complains. "I mean...I don't know who your father is. My job was stressful, so I had flings to blow off steam. Got pregnant, and just like your not-boyfriend said, I'm not equipped to be a mother. Sorry. I thought I was giving you a better life," Seylah says. She leaves Landon and the girls and ash alone and Alaric follows after her.
"Well, that was vague," Kol says. "Are we going to get an explanation for what Malivore is," Klaus asks. "Sure, after it kills ivy molly  says. Ash laughs, and Finn face palms and Henrik rolls his eyes.
"You want to know the worst part?"hope asks. "That wasn't the worst part," Alaric asks. "Oh, believe me, I would, but I'm.trying to cut back," ivy says.
"Look, I get how hard this is, but we need some answers," Alaric says to Seylah. "You already know everything I know," Seylah denies. "I think we both know that's a lie,"Alaric deadpans. "Just like you lied to Landon about not knowing who his father is," Alaric adds. "What makes you think I was lying?" Seylah says. "Bad liars look away when they lie to their kids. Good liars look 'em straight in the eye," Alaric deadpans. "We have something in common, then. You have children?" Seylah asks. "Two girls. So take my hard-earned advice. Tell Landon the truth," Alaric says.
"How about I tell you instead? Just to see if you believe me," Seylah says.
"Well, we definitely now know where Landon got his lying skills from," Klaus deadpans. "Sun and the Moon curse," Hope deadpans. Klaus rolls his eyes, and Elijah smirks. "You only lied about that for a thousand years,"
Ivy whispers.
"Because I'm still not sure that I believe what I'm about to say, and I lived it. The organization I used to work for guards the portal to Malivore. When I realized I was having memory lapses, I started writing everything down. Drawing maps. I wrote about the creatures I captured and where I took them. Each entry ended there," Seylah explains. "So where'd you take them?" Alaric asks.
"The more you know about Malivore the closer you are to telling your family members about it, right," Freya asks. Lizzie, Josie and Jen turn to the Mikaelson girls and ash and Salvatores ,
"Yeah, of course," hope starts. "Telling the family,"
Ivy adds, turning away.
