"When the truth is buried, it wont stay buried forever."

In the Mikaelson mansion, Josie walks downstairs. "Hi.
Sorry to interrupt," Josie says to Cleo. "Where is Kaleb?"
Cleo asks. "My mom actually thought that I should talk to you instead. And Kaleb thought that it was cool, too," Josie adds. "I cannot imagine why. We do not even know each other," Cleo says. "That's actually why they both thought it should be me. Kaleb told me what happened. Um, I had a run-in with black magic not too long ago. I did terrible things to the people that I love," Josie says. "I am not the villain here," Cleo says. Josie looks at her, "What," Cleo asks. "I'm sorry, I am trying to believe you, but you kind of tried to kill my cousin ," Josie says. "I was told that Malivore took you as a child. What did he want?" Josie asks, refocusing on the task at hand. "For me to create. This is how I learned to make friends," Cleo explains. "That's great.
Isn't that great?" Josie says. Cleo scoffs, "If you have been sent here to judge me, that is a decision you must make for yourself," Cleo says, holding out her arms. Josie eyes them warily and then waves her hand at the spell, creating the two holes in the shield. The two girls link arms and both close their eyes.

"Josie," Bonnie whispers. "Yes, mom," Josie asks. "I think she knows that she tried to kill your cousin ," Bonnie says. "I know," Josie says. "I was just reminding her," Josie adds.

Josie turns to see a a fire and a young Cleo sitting at the flames. The young girl is molding something, "Mo gba yin niyanju lati gbe," she chants and the creation comes to life.
"Hmm?" Cleo says, examining it. The creature croaks and the young girls laughs, "Hello, friend," she says, chuckling.
"He's so cute," Josie whispers. The frog chatters gleefully before a low growl interrupts the peace. "Look what I made from your mud,"Cleo shows Malivore. The mud monster takes the frog and the animal begins to whimper. Before the young girl can do anything, Malivore shoves the small animal into his stomach, all the while, the frog whimpers and squirms attempting to escape Malivore's grasp.

Both girls open their eyes gasping, "It pains me to relive these moments. I never thought I would find myself in that cave again," Cleo says. "So, Malivore forced you to create monsters just so he could eat them?" Josie asks. "He was hungry and desperate by design, in accordance with the spell that created him. He so acutely wanted to escape his imprisonment that he imprisoned me, believing that I would be his salvation," Cleo explains. "How?" Josie asks. "| spent many years alone. I longed for my family, but my only choice was to make friends. Monsters, some would call them. But Malivore continued to consume each one, until one day, inspiration returned the favor and smiled upon me. I would create a vessel for Malivore," Cleo explains. "It would not only be his salvation, but mine, too," Cleo says.
"You inspired Malivore to want a vessel," Josie whispers. "I am the one who gave him the solution to his hunger problems. The idea that he has obsessed over for centuries.
And what he still wants today," Cleo says.

"He ruined her childhood," Rebekah whispers.Mikaya hums, "What," Rebekah asks. "This may sound harsh,"Mikaya warns. "Oh boy," Kol mutters. "But she kind of ruined her own childhood,"Mikaya says. "Her grandmother wanted to protect her," mikayla says. "But she was too stubborn to realize that and went in her grandmother's place," mikayla says. "Yes, Malivore was cruel to a small child but if everything went according to the grandmother's plan," Mikaya trails off. "The small child would have never been in contact," Rebekah finishes.

Time has past, and Cleo is a teenager sitting at a similar fire, Malivore laughs softly. "You have done well, Cleo. Given me a voice. This form is perfect," Malivore praises as he looks at his grey skin and four arms. "Watching you force yourself into it was not," Cleo mutters. "My hunger is finally sated," Malivore says. "| have given you your vessel. So you are finally free from the confines of the spell that spawned you.
Iwant my freedom in return," Cleo bargains. Malivore laughs and shakes his head, "You belong to me, forever. I cannot let such power go now that I am free," Malivore says.
Josie winces, "Never make a deal with a bad guy," the dark haired siphon witch says. "And definitely don't give what they want before attempting to make a deal," Josie adds. " I will rid this world of the creatures that created me. Vampires, witches, werewolves, then I will create a superior species of my own making to take their place. This is just the beginning of our story," Malivore says. Cleo's eyes harden, "No. It is the end. For you are more a prisoner now than you ever were before. You just do not know it yet," Cleo says. With a wave of her hand and words in another language, two of Malivore's arms are connected to the stalactites of the cave. "Your new form is indeed perfect, but I am the one who controls it," Cleo says. Malivore grunts attempting to free himself, "You may speak," Cleo says.
"Correction, only make a deal with the bad guy when you know how to screw him over," Josie says, impressed. "You are making a fatal mistake," Malivore says. "Or I have finally been inspired to be something greater than your servant," Cleo retorts. "in time, this vessel will fail to hold me. I can feel its weak points as we speak," Malivore growls. "If you do not starve first. However long it lasts, this vessel will be the last comfort my gifts will ever bring you," Cleo says. "I will break free and I will find you, Cleo Sowande. This I swear!" Malivore vows. Cleo shakes her head and leaves the cave as Malivore's fury is released through a roar.
